Corazon Bakery — Restaurant in Amersfoort

After roaming around this lovely town during lunchtime on holy Saturday we wanted to get a coffee: three of us got a cappuccino and two a black coffee. The cups are way too small but taste wise it was alright. I deducted three points for the service because of the attitude of the three girls working at the cafe. First of all it took a long time to get our coffee because there was a miscommunication between the waitresses. The girls were also eating and drinking coffee whilst making other orders which we found unprofessional und unhygienic, particularly because they were standing behind the counter which is next to the window, visible from outside. A very nice location if you are lucky you might get a seat at a table near the canal. If not the street seating is very nice too.

Inside was very hot and stuffy partly I think as most items baked are on site.

We stopped here for an iced coffee day before and saw they did breakfast.

Nice coffee and fresh orange.

Sadly the bulk of the breakfast did not come till prompted it was on the side unserved.

The wait for that was 45 minutes doubt it's a common error. Butter had melted so hard to spread on the nice bread. Same with the croissant 🥐 but very nice.

Pity about the service...

Wij liepen langs dit hele leuke bakkerijtje en het rook onwijs lekker naar kaneel. Dus na wat wikkel en wegen besloten om naar binnen te gaan met 5 personen. We zagen in de vitrine lekkere taartjes liggen en dat leek ons erg lekker echter hadden we ook een beetje trek dus besloten 4 gegrilde kip tosti’s te nemen en 1 sandwich geitenkaas zonder walnoot. We bestelden ook wat te drinken dit was er vrij snel. Alleen de thee die we kregen was alleen water (logisch) maar we moesten zelf maar uitzoeken dat de thee die in weckpotten in het raamkozijn staan dat we die maar moesten pakken dat werd namelijk niet gezegd. In de tussentijd kwamen er ook andere gasten binnen die ook broodjes bestelde. Na 40 minuten gaf ik aan dat de gasten die later binnen kwamen al eerder hun broodjes hadden. Ik kreeg als reactie: ow ja oke……… Geen excuses of iets werd er gemaakt of enige uitleg. 10 minuten later waren dan eindelijk onze broodjes klaar. Wat beloofd word als de beste en grootste tosti van Amersfoort was dit wel een grote teleurstelling. Het waren 2 plakken brood met wat kip en de kaas die niet tot nauwelijks gesmolten was. Dus nou niet echt een tosti waarvan het water je in de mond van gaat lopen. Bij het afrekenen moest ik opsommen wat we hadden gedronken want ze was vergeten wat we ook al weer hadden. Erg slordig aangezien er maar 3 tafels (9 gasten incl wij 5) waren. En ook bij het afrekenen werd niet gevraagd of alles naar wens was. Ik ben alles behalve tevreden en de service was uitermate slecht. Het is dat ik maar 1 ster kan geven als slechts want eigenlijk is 1 ster al te veel. Meeste slechte ervaring die ik ooit in een lunch zaak heb gehad. Dus een aanrader is het...
