Incredibly disappointing. I’ve had my appointment a couple months ago and received a notification by email to write a review and I'll do so. This was my second time and my experience was horrible. The woman who was assigned to help me was not kind or welcoming. She gave me the impression she had no interest in tending to me. She barely said a word to me and told me to come along to the room. She hadn’t asked me anything nor gave me instructions. During the session she wouldn’t talk either and I was feeling very uncomfortable and unwanted. I understand waxing can be a painful experience but I expect the ones who work there to help reduce a little even if it would be a little. She was harsh and it felt as if she didn’t even care about her patient (me). Or doing her job well. Because when she finished, my skin looked damaged and the waxing wasn’t done properly. I also know the wax bar is known for their quick service, but this took her 11 minutes, when it is supposed to be 20. Again, she seemed not to care about me or about completing it well. Still I had thanked her and she just smiled. I went to put on my clothes again and she already went to the front to charge me €50,- which felt unrighteous to even pay. I thanked her again and she said good bye.
Now honestly. Maybe it was just me because I really was mad when I left. And maybe she had a bad day or whatever, but then Id suggest to just not clock into work? Because Im really not a person to complain, but if you work in a field where you tend to someone's body, its expected to be kind of welcoming, no? And to be careful with them. Also, my damaged skin did not heal as I had hoped for. And it is true I have sensitive skin, but I had waxed before at the same wax bar, in Amersfoort, and that was all good. So I can say that the way someone tends to you and the way they get to work plays a big role and can determine the outcome.
So I've been to this same wax bar another time before, right? And that was really great. A very nice lady helped me and I was really happy with the results. Besides that, she had made me feel at ease and comfortable. She talked with me and was very friendly. That was a positive experience.
But because of my bad experience of the second time going there, I will not go again. I wish I had asked her for her name so I can call her out because she should NOT be...
Read moreI am using the services from the Wax Bar Amersfoort for a year now and I can honestly say only the best for the whole experience so far. I usually book my appointment online which is very easy and efficient for me. Then, I am reminded by e-mail not to forget my appointment - which I really appreciate in my busy schedule. Every time I am welcomed in a really kind and nice way. I was always completely satisfied with the treatment itself and I do a lot, approximately once in a month. I never walked out of the salon unsatisfied. Every now and then I get to use some of the promotions or discounts which I like a lot. Salon uses their own wax, everything is done on a high hygienical level and always with a lovely smile on their faces. I will continue using The Wax Bar Amersfoort services and would really recommend it...
Read moreTerrible, unprofessional service. The one star is for the location and the room.
On top of the unnecessary delay after I indicated I will be in a rush while making my appointment and upon arrival, unfriendliness, and overall unprofessionalism, it was the worst and most painful waxing appointment I had in over 10 years.
Very basic tools like baby powder, and skills like stretching someone's skin before pulling out the wax was lacking. When I said I do not want them to wax anymore because of pain, I was lectured how I should have scrubbed my skin before the appointment. Mind you, I never scrub particular areas of my skin and I wax myself or have a waxing appointment every month.
I can't believe I paid an over-market-price for this, thinking they would be experts in waxing due to their name....
