Dolce Verona — Restaurant in Amstelveen

I am Dolce Verona's most frequent online food orderer and probably the most loyal restaurant customer. We have been to the restaurant countless times with my family and with our guests. We also order pizza home every (yes, every) Friday via uberEats. It is all in the records, you can check it. We made a reservation for 6 people for Friday evening, March 7, 2025 at 19:00. We came to the restaurant as myself, my wife, my two young children, my friend and my friend's wife. We said we had a reservation. They said our table was not ready, we could wait for a “very short” time at a smaller table, and the big table would be ready soon. We waited for 20 minutes. A large table was being prepared at that time. While we were waiting, another group of 7 people came. I asked if this table was being prepared for us, waitress lady said yes. However, when the table was prepared, they took the group that came later to that table and the restaurant manager came to me and asked me again if I had a reservation!! And he asked us to wait a little longer!! I don't remember being humiliated this much in my life. It was also very embarrassing because I had my guests there! Best Italian restaurant I've been to in a while. I went together with a friend that was visiting from out of the country after the initial restaurant we were going to was closed. We decided to walk around and pick a place that looked nice and smelled good. We did not regret it. From the moment we walked in it was a great experience. The hostess was fun and joked around with us. Our servers were kind, knowledgeable and fun and even offered to take our pictures. The restaurant has a nice warm cozy atmosphere and you can see the kitchen. There's great choices and variety of food. A new favorite! My friend ordered pizza and i ordered pasta. We just left without eating our meal. We visit this place almost every month, but for the past two visits, we've noticed that the waitstaff keeps getting our order wrong. We come here mainly because our toddler loves the pizza, but for the second time in a row, our meals were served while his pizza was forgotten and instead of pepperoni there was salami on my pizza (that’s not a reason to walk out). The lady who got our order seems to be uninterested, but all we wanted that our little guys has his pizza.
