MaozFalafel — Restaurant in Amstelveen

Recently moved to Amsterdam and tried this place. Really enjoyed the food. After trying out 2 locations in main Amsterdam, this weekend I reached out to 3rd store in Amstelveen. To my surprise the store experience was pathetic. I have been told by other Maoz Vegan outlet people we can refill the pita, however when I approached the counter for my Pita refill, the guy (calling himself the boss of Amstelveen outlet) interrupted rudely and said, "You can't do this refill, I need to make profit". I had to tell him, I am only doing because I've been told by other outlet owners, so why not here"? And to that he responded, "I am the boss here and my rules apply". As I was really embarrassed, in front of other customers, I could only say was sorry and move on. Later when I shared this experience with friends/family and other outlet, everyone said it is allowed. So, I guess now Moaz Vegan has lost a lot of customers since then after listening to...

As a vegetarian, I've always favored Maoz Vegan as my go-to food joint. Naturally, I was thrilled to learn about the chain opening in Amstelveen, prompting my husband and me to visit last weekend.

We ordered a pita meal and a falafel pita pocket, expecting the same refill service offered at other Maoz chains. However, to our dismay, my husband was abruptly stopped from refilling his pita pocket by the staff member at the counter, who displayed a rude demeanor. His explanation was rather blunt: "I am the boss here, and my rules apply to my franchise. I need to turn a profit, so I cannot allow refills." This encounter left us thoroughly disappointed, embarrassed and needless to say, they've lost our future patronage due to this behavior. I cannot in good conscience recommend this place to anyone.
