Day — Restaurant in Amstelveen

We were here on a Sunday and none of us spoke any Dutch (which we made very clear to the extremely rude waiter). We ordered two plates of the Pasta Gambas. We found out after eating (because I managed to Google translate that the dish should've included mussels which it didn't), that this day apparently was the restaurant's "leftovers of the week"-day - they served us the leftovers from that week and the waiter didn't tell us earlier. When I complained, he said, the "leftover-day" was announced on the first page of the menu. We made it very clear to him none of us spoke Dutch from the beginning, but he never cared to enclose this information. However, I did check the menu's first two pages on Google Translator again and did not find any information on the leftover-day. When I kept complaining he told me "to stop giving him this attitude" (actually quoting him here). We ended up paying 15€ for each of those Pasta Gamba LEFTOVER dishes no one told us about. We, as a family, used to be regular costumers of this restaurant. But now the staff is not costumer oriented. They are really giving a bad service. We finished the starter -we just left on the plate 3 pieces of bread- and after 30 minutes waiting we had to get up from the table and go to the waiter to ask when the main course was coming. In that very moment the waiter ordered our main course and moved to us completely the responsibility. He was not able at least to offer an apologize, when HE NEVER IN 30 MINUTES -not after he served the starter but after we finished the starter- came to the table to ask if we were ready for the main curse. At the end, we had to wait ONE HOUR after we finished the starter to recibe the main course. The only explanation for this is bad service. Really bad experience. I'll start with the good things: The vegan food is really delicious. Cleanliness: 10/10 Taste: 10/10 Service: 9/10 Price: 8/10

We made a reservation but when we arrived they told us that we didn't have a reservation, when we showed them the proof that we made a reservation they immediately prepared a table for us. We were six people, the food itself is delicious.

The hamburger is small but tasty, the vegan hamurger is delicious, the pasta portions were small, the avocado sandwich is small and delicious, the vegan salad is big and the vegan spread (vegan mayonnaise?) is really delicious.

The atmosphere in the place is pleasant. The toilets are very clean.
