For a bakery, their products aren't always fresh and their prices are inexcusably high. I once got a sandwich with tomato and mozarella for 6.5e and the must have been at least from the day before because it was hard and dry. The employees touch most things with their hands, there are sparrows flying over the products and I've seen flies walking all over the scones and the croissants. The service is also really bad - today I asked for an ice coffee and let alone the fact that I was waiting 10mins for someone to find ice (and I wasn't told about it, I just stood there waiting), I paid 5c more than the exact price (as I didn't have a 5c coin on me) and the clerk got annoyed and asked me if I had 5c to give her the exact amount and when I said no, she asked if she can keep the extra 5c. It is obviously not about the significance of the amount, but I can't help but wonder what if I decided to give her 5c or 10c less than the price of the coffee...
Read moreGreat neighborhood bread bakery with amazing coffee! The smell with definitly bring you in! My go to is the cappuccino with oat milk. All of their breads are sourdough breads which are produced by sustainable soil and organic products. They have a great selection of assorted breads, croissants, small pastries and toasties. During the winter months they also offer, Amandel gevulde koeken (almond paste filled cookie) a Dutch cookie that is amazing! They also sell coffee beans and their signature oatmilk, which is so much better than any grocery store oatmilk. The staff is accomodating and helpful. It can get busy during weekends and holidays, but they do a great job keeping up fresh product and getting orders out quickly. Its great for dine-in or takeway. 10 out of 10...
Read moreGreat little bakery, with good coffee, fantastic bread, and a range of tasty sandwiches (as well as lots of diet-busting baked cookies). Not inexpensive, but not expensive either. Efficient, friendly staff. Mind you, it's a busy place with a constant stream of customers, so staff members don't have a lot of time for socializing (something American customers seem to expect). The tosti bar uses day-old bread on purpose (no waste, and great taste). The terrace could use some shade. There is also seating space upstairs -- inside and outside, with a nice view of...
