I have recently visited this place with my friend and we were going to watch the movie they were rolling outside. The website told us to come 1 1/2 hours earlier than the movie would start. Though at that time none of the outside seats/beanbags were taken. We decided to go on a walk and I totally understand that this was at our own risk but as soon as we came back (with more than half an hour to spare) most of the bean bags were taken. It would’ve been nicer if they would ask us to come a bit later than told, because hogging a seat for 1 1/2 hours is quite outrageous. But I really love the idea of the outdoor movies with the inflatable screen and headphones. Also the price for the movie was good. Aside from that the food was quite expensive and their dinner menu’s were a bit limited in meals. Again this is on us because we could’ve looked at the snack menu, however snacks aren’t supposed to be as filling as dinner so we didn’t think of checking the snack menu. The service was fine, our waitress was kind but it took quite a while to get our food which we didn’t even order that much of. Our order was: 2 kids pizzas, a lemonade and a chocolate milk. It is a bit pointless to complain about the speed of service because it was pretty busy there. Also it was so hot and who knows how long these waiters/waitresses have been working on that day. Which is why don’t mind the speed all too much. Our waitress was sweet and we had our nice meal. Though 30 euros for our order is a lot 😵. Lastly the atmosphere is just greatt. I am not a huge fan of Amsterdam Noord but this place was cool and the walk I went on was chill, though it is because of how deserted Amsterdam Noord is.

We visited for lunch and had an amazing cod salad dish with sea vegetables. It’s a place with real atmosphere. We sat outside and enjoyed a mild day and loved the views over the IJ. They have a good draft beef too. But the cod dish was absolutely brilliant. We like to think we’re a couple of foodies, and this far exceeded any expectations. Service was typically Dutch (casual to the point of non existent). No one greeted or even acknowledged us as we arrived and meandered through the restaurant, though there were several staff members around who passed us. I am used to Amsterdam so knew we would have to ‘find’ a server or we would sit unattended forever. So I’d did and when free she then came to the table and asked if we’d like a drink, of course she didn’t have the drinks menu with her so I asked for it. When she came back to take the drinks order, I had to ask her to now go and get food menus! She was friendly but clearly no one ever trains them how to be efficient. Update: back a month later. Same good food, same apparently untrained service staff arriving at table and asking what we would like without offering a menu etc! Frustrating. And of course no follow up re extra drinks or dessert. So you have to get up and find a waiter.

I am usually not a critic but this one deserves it. I have been to this place a many times, unfortunately with every visit the level of service keeps on decreasing. Went there again this Sunday afternoon for some live music. The place was completely dis organised, people were waiting in the queue to enter but there was no one to tell them if they can grab a table or do they need to wait for some one to let them be seated. Asked one of the waitress and the reply was "i don't know, today is a mess". She seemed to be very stressed with work. After 15 mins of wait in the queue, we managed to find a table on our own. Table was very dirty. We asked for menu and to get the table cleaned, after 20 mins a waitress cleaned the table to a level where we had to clean again with some tissue or else sleeves of our tshirts would have been dirty. Menu was still missing, we grabbed ome from nearby table. Considering how much time it was taking, we decided to order main course plus dessert in one go. Main course came after 30 mins and was bit cold but still was delicious. Once we eat main course, our plates were taken away, we reminded them that we have ordered desserts as well, we were told they are on their way. 30 mins passed after last reminder, we reminded again that we are still waiting for desserts, same answer they are on their way. After 50 mins of waiting we paid for main course and left without a dessert. This is the end of my visits to Pllek

Came here on a recommendation and we ended up leaving a bit disappointed. We did not have a reservation but were told that we'd likely get seated since were just a party of two, and in this regard they came through. We were seated fairly quickly. The atmosphere is trendy and kind of fun, it's got a good view of the water and is built inside of these shipping containers. The place was busy and patrons were all smiling and happy and looked like they were having a good time. It was a good first impression. After being seated it took a while to put in an order. Actually, after a while someone came up to us and asked us what we wanted even though we hadn't been given menus yet, so it took a while just to get the menu, then another wait before our order was taken. The staff were friendly but a bit inattentive. I ordered a fish dish and it looked nice, but ended up being quite a disappointment. Perhaps it was the particular fish but it had very little in the way of flavor, it was cooked well enough but just had no taste. I felt like I could have just been eating a salad rather than grilled fish. The sauce was also pretty low on flavor. Maybe more salt would have helped but overall it was a big letdown after the initial impression and the price. Ended up finishing quickly and hastily leaving as I was not looking forward to trying anything else.

Loved the vibe. It feels a bit alternative, made me miss Berlin a bit less. People is super nice and chill, the personal is great. It gets busy but it isn't a problem, it's part of the experience and I was so impressed for how they work and get good service done. On Tuesday they have an open air cinema 📽️. It's super leuk. The waitress got my order, took care of my table in a while I was gone to rent the headphones for the movie and she had the attention and coordination to get my food when I came back on time. I knew from another clients at the restaurant they were checking constantly to be on time. In a hectic rythm of work of a big place being full, so much appreciated. They're super nice and kind, made it look flawless to be a waitress. I know it isn't. Food is good, but just ok if you think in the price range, but I mean as a whole place it's fine. I mean come on this is more a party place..cocteils are good. Bartender is very attentive, doesn't rush, ask exactly what you expect for ..cool and good at this job. Went another days to dance, super leuk free dance space, nice in a full moon to take a drink outside and let it be.. It's in north and if you know which route to take, then biking there can be pretty nice as well ;)

A nice “plek” (means “place” in Dutch) to enjoy some quality time, good quality and healthy food. The industrial interior feels very spacious and many people really dig the cozy vibe. The crew is nice, friendly and attentive. For lunch I had the Steamed mackerel sandwhich with dill-horseradish crème fraîche, pickled vegetables and deep-fried capers on light sourdough bread. I made some nice pictures. Make sure to check them out. Look at the presentation as well. Looks great right? It was absolutely delicious!! Highly recommened!! For dinner I had the Venison rendang with a parsnip gratin, sweet potato and coconut gratin, fried sprouts and cranberry / pear roedjak. It was like a... more luxurious version (sort of) of the Indonesian rendang that I am used to (I’m from Moluccan desent). It was different. As in good different. Check out the dish photo that I made. Plekk is a very nice place to stay and hopefully will be for many many years to come. Come on Municipality of Amsterdam... Let Pllek continue to be the Pllace to be in Amsterdam. For now and for many many years to come!!! Sign the petition online to make sure that this great establishment will continue to be the Pllace to be in Amsterdam!!!
