Long wait time, bad staff, not worth the money. If you want to order, get your food and pay without having to proactively ask for each of these, instead of, you know, being served, go elsewhere. Also, felt like the customers were the background noise in the staffs hangout spot
We came to the restaurant at around 8:30pm on Sunday. It was at 1/4 capacity. No-one approached us at the entrance for 5 minutes, despite making eye contact with at least 2 staff members. I've proactively had to approach one staff member to ask to be seated, to be sent back to the entrance. Understandable but also, it was not busy at all.
After being seated, we waited to order for 10 minutes despite there being 5 staff members behind the bar. At the moment they were preoccupied by 3 colleagues who's shift has ended I presume...
And at this point I was calm and nice still, despite all of this. I kindly ordered at the bar, 2 beers and borrel food. Got the beers quickly. The food was nowhere to be found. Then I stopped another waitress - and mind you she was the star of this night, only helpful person there - to find out the food was forgotten. Id understand if it were a busy night and say notthing. But it was dead. "Luckily" the kitchen was willing to make our food still.
And to top it off, we ordered 1 more beer, they made it twice by accident but instead of you know, saying nothing or offering it to us they rudely asked "did you order this twice? From another colleague?" And then took it away...
I have some more to say but it's more for the owners than the...
Edit: Thank you very much for your kind and prompt response. I greatly appreciate your attention to the feedback. I wanted to share some specifics about the vegetarian dishes to assist with your discussion with the chef.
For the Zalm Tataki, the ink flavor was overwhelmingly strong, which unfortunately upset my friend's stomach. Regarding the Ijverbowl, the dominance of Shanghai paksoi overshadowed the other flavors, detracting from the overall taste experience. Adding photos to your website and menu might help guests make more informed choices, as we would have better understood what to expect from each dish.
Additionally, it would be great to have more vegetarian and vegan choices like a vegan burger.
Once again, thank you for considering my feedback. I am grateful that you are open to customer insights, and I look forward to visiting your restaurant again in the future.

Read moreGood service, good beer, good food! After walking around the NDSM neighborhood and art ateliers we ended up having beers and dinner at this place. We had a very pleasant visit, service was really attentive and fast, good selection of beers on tap and the highlight was the food! Appetizers were pretty good (biterballen plus roasted cauliflower) and we also we went for the Chef's Menu: Sea bass as appetizer, Coque a la bière and Creme Brulee. The chicken was spectacular, we can come back any time for that dish. Nice decor and 3 types of areas for sitting inside, covered "courtyard" and outdoors (the courtyard is really and outdoor area but inside the main warehouse). They are also kids friendly as we saw a lot of kids games on the "courtyard" tables as well as a small playing area. Presentation of the dishes was also pretty well done, something you will not expect...
