Bollywood Foodbar — Restaurant in Amsterdam

Absolutely terrible delivery experience for some mediocre food. Ordered 2 dishes and was told the wait time would be maximum one hour. After one hour had passed with no update, I called the store to ask for an update on the order. I was told the order was on its way and then the owner hung up. Cool, no problem. The restaurant was only 15 minutes away from my location. After 30 minutes had passed, I called back for another update. I was nearly berated being told “I said it’s on the way!!!! 2 minutes!!!” And then hung up again for a second time. Patiently waited another 30 minutes and then called for the third time to ask for an update. I was told the food was there. It wasn’t … a complete lie. Hung up on for the third time!! I called back and said to cancel the order. Then, I receive a call 30 seconds later from the driver saying he’s in the hotel lobby. Once again, he’s not. He pulled around the street corner 5 minutes after. Absolutely awful experience. Getting lied to and hung up on doesn’t sit well with me as a consumer. Ambience: The entire resturant is really bad to sit and dine. Half of the seats had cardboard boxes and bottles on top. There was a huge group of people drinking and singing loudly. Although we had booked a table we were made to sit in a make shift table.

The food Please dont eat the pani puri 🙏🏻 The fish tikka was super salty & when we asked chutney we were given green chili & tomato sauce.

Overall The resturant had a good setup which I believe is being run by people who have 0 knowledge of hygeine. The halal food certificate hung near the bill counter has expired in 2022. I made a big mistake going there and spending my money and time.

Delicious Indian Cuisine at Bollywood Restaurant! We had a wonderful dining experience at Bollywood Restaurant in Amsterdam. We tried the Kadhai Paneer and Tandoori Roti, and both were absolutely delicious – rich in flavor and cooked to perfection. The spices were just right, and the portion sizes were satisfying.
