Unfortunately, my experience here was very disappointing. Service was slow even though there were only a few tables occupied. The waitress seemed rushed, told us to sit anywhere without a proper welcome, and only after 10 minutes offered water and bread (which are charged without informing you). The menu of the day was recited quickly while passing by, without much explanation. With these prices I expected a better service. I chose the “menu de la maison”: crab salad, skate, and crème brûlée. The skate was the weakest point—fatty, strongly “fishy,” and not fresh, with a heavy sauce that seemed meant to mask the taste (see the picture). The dessert was the only highlight. The wine list is also disappointing: everyday bottles that cost €6–9 in shops are sold for €40–55, and better wines (over €200) are not available by the glass. Unfortunately, I also became ill after the meal, food poisoning, which confirmed my concerns about food quality. Overall, not an experience I would recommend and I would be scared to give a second chance. Ps. The pictures are much better than the taste.

A taste of Paris at the Amsterdam waterfront. The restaurant opened a few month ago and is a great place for everyone who is up for nice French food. The menu is rather small but there is always an option for a two or three course menu which is changing on a frequent base. Vegetarian options are very limited, very French ;). The service was great but the quality of the food could not fully keep up with it. Also the coziness of a classic French Brasserie is missing a bit. However can really recommend this place and will go there again.

Delicious Chicken and Warm Hospitality! We had a wonderful experience today. The chicken was excellent in quality, and Bram welcomed us very warmly. Although it was quite crowded, we still enjoyed it a lot. If we come to Amsterdam again, we will definitely return to this restaurant. We had heard about it from friends, and visiting today turned out to be a truly wonderful experience. Rohini ♥️

We were so excited to get a George restaurant in the Houthavens and it does not disappoint! The food has been really delicious (love the shallot tarte tartin, the steak and the cassoulet!) and the service top notch. The first time, Diego provided great service, both attentive yet also relaxed. And the second time was super busy with every seat taken and several large parties, yet the women leading the service kept everything well under control and everyone happy. We only now can't wait for the full restaurant to open. We will certainly be regulars at this wonderful...
