Pont 13 — Restaurant in Amsterdam

Been here a few times for lunch and service was usually on the slow side, but still acceptable. Today I went there with my wife at 1pm for a simple sandwich. We had to wait about 20 minutes before our order was even taken. We both ordered the same thing, a sandwich without any hot preparations. Perhaps about 10 tables were seated, with 2 wait staff and 2 cooks serving the place, so not exactly busy. After 30 minutes we still hadn't received our order. We walked out hungry at 1:55 pm as we both had to get back to work. Still had to pay for 1 hour parking of course. Unacceptable slow service and the serving staff just pointed fingers to the chefs claiming they also don't understand why it took so long. Won't be going back here in a hurry which is a shame considering the proximity...

Absolutely stunning establishment. The food was really tasty and the service was great too. Only complaints would be that it's a long walk out of the centre and that between serving the 'lunch' and 'dinner' menus all that was available for 2 hours was snacks. BUT we could have easily gotten a tram and checked the time on the website properly. De locatie is bijzonder en fijn. Je hebt uitzicht op een deel van het IJ en de Houthavens. We hadden mooi weer en dan is het hier fijn vertoeven. Ook binnen is het een mooie locatie.

Het eten was hit and (vooral) miss. De carpacio was goed van smaak maar wel heel weinig. 4 happen en het was op. De smaak kwam vooral van de heerlijke pesto en de vrij zoute dressing.

De steak was een regelrechte aanfluiting. Ik denk niet dat de "kok" zelf zijn eigen product ooit heeft gegeten. De grauwe, beige, veel te dikke maar vooral totaal smakeloze homp vlees was echt smerig. Opmerkingen hierover werden genegeerd. Het lijkt op vlees dat zonder seasoning zo in een oven is gekieperd en daarna op een bedje smakeloze groenten is gelegd. De buitenkant was hierdoor droog en de binnenkant net roze maar zonder enig sap in het vlees.

Ik heb nog nooit zo'n slechte steak op.

Het toetje was wel lekker, zou eigenlijk pannacotta zijn met mango maar werd opeens zonder overleg een ondefinieerbare cheesecake. Wel aardig van smaak want niet te zoet maar ondefinieerbaar van smaak. De chefkok heeft geen gevoel voor smaak wat mij betreft.

Dus sfeer en bediening prima maar het eten echt niet goed... en Ijwit is goede keuze qua bier. Advies: hier drinken en...
