The vibe is cool, we are staying at the hotel for four nights. But the service is terrible. In short, they had an event so they sat me in another room, which was ok, service was slow to start and then nonexistent. I ordered a cappuccino and a sparkling water. The water arrived in 15’ min to only be the wrong drink, a sparkling lemonade. I asked to sit at the only sit down table in that room, and they allowed me to. But it was dirty. They didn’t clean it. They didn’t help me move my drinks. Then they forgot about the cappuccino. Never came back for food order nor to charge me. Only to come back to tell me I couldn’t sit at the table because it had eight chairs. I had to go to the hotel lobby to ask them to charge me. I told them at the lobby, they apologized, but then that was it. The next day the same things happened. I sat in the main restaurant only to be forgotten about. Too bad, I was really excited to have a good experience while at this hotel. All other days I saw guests sitting alone in the same table for eight and no one kicked them out even though they sat there for 2+ hours. You figure a place where we paid 2000 euros for some nights would be better....

Bagel Tower in Amsterdam 🥯

Breman Brasserie, located in the iconic Lloyd building in Amsterdam, offers a diverse menu blending traditional European and South American cuisine. Highlights include Argentinian empanadas, Peruvian ceviche, and Dutch pancakes 🥞. The restaurant also has a bar that serves classic cocktails 🍸 and New World wines 🍷.

A standout brunch item is the popular bagel tower 🥯—a must-try for bagel lovers—including four toasted bagels with toppings like smoked salmon, pastrami, cream cheese, and vegetables. You can customize your bagel or rely on the friendly staff to create a delicious option for you 😋.

✅ Gluten-free, veggie and vegan options ✅ Variety of options on the menu ✅ Great coffee ✅ Cozy ambiance ✅ Friendly and welcoming staff

What we had: 🔸 Bagel tower 🔸 Scrambled eggs 🔸 Fries & aioli 🔸 Chocolate mousse

🦪 Oyster Happy Hour every weekday between 3-6pm 💰 Their prices are on the higher end

📍Amsterdam IJ Waterfront

Great hotel. The Food was very good.

But- Horrendous and abysmal service.

The restaurant was about 1-2- 3/4 full, with half the staff standing/sitting around and half working.

We waited 5 minutes to be seated with multiple empty tables around the restaurant, and wait staff passing by us and ignoring us.

We didn’t receive a menu or table set, we had to get the menu ourselves after 10 minutes of waiting for service and trying to get wait staff attention.

Waited another 10 minutes once we had the menu to have the wait staff ask if we wanted to order anything.

Waited another 25 minutes for coffee and food. When received we didn’t have silverware, salt, pepper, water, or glasses. Had to ask 3 seperate times for these items, and eventually just grabbed it from an empty table.

We’re usually the type to be understanding of the wait times associated with the service industry and a restaurant with other patrons, but this was a...

For the prices they’re asking this was an ok experience. The one thing which irked me slightly was that they have ‘Latkes’ on the menu which suggests fresh, homemade potato pancakes. For the price of 6 EUR you would also expect this, what came out were 3 potato Rösti - the exact frozen kind which you buy at Albert Heijn. The Croque Madame was nice and so were the fries and aubergine croquettes, however the aioli left much to be desired but that may just be a taste thing. One bonus is that they have gluten free bread so if you have an allergy you can still enjoy the menu. Service was very nice but a bit slow especially to begin with. The actual bar and restaurant itself are nice inside and I’m sure for bar snacks and cocktails in the evening would be nice.

Really enjoyed our experience here. It’s such a beautiful setting. We started with a drink in the bar before going over to the restaurant for dinner. The drinks and food were delicious, fairly priced (for Amsterdam), and both the bar and resto have a great vibe and beautiful decor. The service in the brasserie let down the experience for us… we had to follow up on our food and drinks multiple times. We followed up on dessert twice, after which it still did not arrive so we ended up cancelling it. This was disappointing and also surprising because it was not very busy in the brasserie. Despite the poor service we had a great time and would go back... The venue looks like it would be great in summer when you can sit out on the terrace.
