Café Saté — Restaurant in Amsterdam

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Cafe Sate, and I can't say enough good things about it! My wife and I had walked by countless times, and it was always bustling with patrons. Finally, we decided to stop by on a Thursday at 4pm, and it was a delightful experience.

The cafe has a fantastic terrace, perfect for soaking up the sun, and the indoor area is wonderfully cozy - a true gem of a "kroeg." What makes this place even more special is that the owner is not only a local singer but also a brilliant chef. Alongside his girlfriend, they make an incredible team running the cafe and kitchen.

Service: met both owners and they’re the sweetest people in Netherlands. Hands down.

Atmosphere: the bartender busted out singing mid-service and didn’t miss a beat (pouring drinks OR singing)....

You fall in love with this place the moment you step in. Everything is ticked from the food, to the ambience, music and above all the wonderful people. They run the Café from their heart.
