Love this place. They have a good amount of tables outside when the weather is nice. The staff is all very friendly and helpful. They even offer a limoncello after your meal! The menu isn’t big but everything we have tried has been very good.
The muhammara and hummus are good cold starters. The hummus is really good with the tomato spread served with the warm fluffy flatbread. The oruk are lightly spiced meat and walnuts fried and served with creamy fresh tzatziki. The Greek salad is good sized and filled with fresh veggies and feta.
The lamb kebab is spicy and tender. I love the couscous served with the entrees. So much flavor! The beyti is a perfect mix of spicy and cooling with the yogurt sauce.
This is a neighborhood gem. Definitely worth a visit if you like Turkish food, friendly service and...
Read moreI’ve been to Orontes many times because I live in the neighborhood, but this time I went to the restaurant with my husband and my parents, and the guy there with gray hair, he is maybe the owner, I don’t know, treats us like tourists denying tap water that I know they have because I was there with my parents last week and they served us, they were not even going to serve us the customary appetizer bread, and also insisted with us that the plate we wanted to order wasn’t fit for 4 people, just for 1, inducing us to order way more unnecessarily. The food is good, but this kind of treatment with clients is just disrespectful. You shouldn’t care if we are residents or tourists, the treatment should be the same.
So if you want good service, don’t say you are a...
Read moreEverything about Orontes West is Just So Good! We ordered a mezze for 3 and a saç kavurma (buttery Lamb dish). This was definitely more than enough for 3 people. The food is amazing! The flavours were perfect and everything you could want. We also had the Turkish red house wine, which is recommended if you love full bodied red wine. The staff is super friendly, thoughtful and genuinely radiate joy. When ordering they also asked about any dietary restrictions, which i have never experienced in a restaurant but adds that touch of care. And that touch of care seeps through in everything they do. We went on a Thursday evening and it was almost full. so I recommend making a reservation, because it does get busy. This is a Must stop for...
