De Koffie Broeder — Restaurant in Amsterdam

This shop is pure magic. Since moving to the area it’s become my main coffee place, and every time I come, the owner and his daughter are the epitome of kindness. I feel like coming here is what it feels like to really be part of a neighborhood. You just feel taken care of. The owner, Eduard, who is here most often, has remembered my name and my dogs’ names since our first visit and just has the warmest way of being. The decor is cozy, and the people who come here are always cozy good vibes too. It just feels like a place full of love! And not to mention that the coffee is GREAT. Edward the owner worked in a hospital for 31 years and opened this café as a next step in his life. That’s also where the name of the place comes from “Broeder” = male nurse.
