Barlotta Amsterdam — Restaurant in Amsterdam

We absolutely loved Restaurant Barlotta. The food is truly amazing; the combination of flavours, even with simple dishes, was all ever so tasty. The food is meant to be shared, which we did, with the exception of the steak tartar, of which we ordered one for each, which was a great choice. The atmosphere is great, and the staff is super, super attentive. All in all, it is definitely a restaurant that we will all highly recommend for a quick dinner.

There was only one side note: the reservation is only valid for two hours. This was also confirmed when we made the reservation online, and we were told on arrival that we had to be out at 21hr as they had a follow-up reservation. Unfortunately, this made us feel rushed, and we didn't have the chance to finish the night properly. If more time had been available we would have ordered more drinks and food and would have finished off with dessert wine and coffee which now was not possible. Furthermore we weren't finished talking to each other.

So, if you plan on having an extended dinner experience, Barlotta is not the place for you as you need to be out in two hours. To be honest, this left us feeling a bit disappointed as dinner was not finished in our eyes. From the moment we walked in, my son and I were greeted with warm smiles and exceptional hospitality. The service was prompt, attentive, and remarkably friendly, making us feel right at home.

The food at Barlotta is nothing short of outstanding. Every dish we tried was fresh, tasty, and delicious, showcasing the chef's skill and passion for quality cuisine. The flavors were vibrant and perfectly balanced, leaving us eagerly anticipating our next visit.

Update: came back after I took their €50 offer. Service was definitely way better! I really appreciate this.

Food was okay, nothing new. I would rate it better if their service was better.

I felt being a little discriminated, being the only asian in the room, the waiters took 30 minutes to come back to us to take our order while 3 tables that came later than us got served before us.

When I asked for more drinks option they gave us the cocktail menu but never came back to ask if we wanted something.

One guy working there took the order of the table next to us who came later but conveniently ignored us. We even tried getting his attention but nothing happened. He seemed to be extremely friendly as well with the other table, happily explaining the food to them and did not bother to do so...
