Fat Phill’s Amstelstation — Restaurant in Amsterdam

If you are craving some American finger food, this place is an option. They have quite a big menu of burgers, fries, chicken, and other side dishes. However, the quality has reduced since they opened!

Here are my recommendations: The Narshville chicken burger with the spicy sauce, contrasted with the ranch sauce is delicious. The chicken itself is tender and juicy, while the pickles are fresh and crunchy. The sweet potato fries are delicious and the truffle sauce adds so much to the flavor. The mozzarella cheese sticks are fried to perfection and the inside has good quality cheese that pulls with every bite you take. This is the only place that I’ve seen in Amsterdam that sells them.

Nevertheless, this place has some downsides to them. First, the place is located next to the Amstel station which means it’s a small restaurant with not so much space for tables. Thus, there might be a possibility that there are no available tables. Second, the kitchen sometimes over fries the food which results in a burnt taste. However, if you request to be made again, they will do it again with a good attitude. As a final point, I would not recommend the milkshakes as it is somewhat expensive and it is mostly made filled with foam, so there is not...

1 star is already too many stars: the cooks never change gloves: same gloves used to cleaning tables, use their phone, manipulate food... Very unsanitary the place is properly messy and not clean at all with 0 awareness from the staff to the point that some customers have to clean themselves their sits and table. service is insanely slow: 30 minutes to be served when the restaurant has less than 10 customers. food quality is embarassing: after all that waiting time, half of the ingredient were missing in the burger, the bread was cold, the coleslaw was swimming in white...

Me and my mates have decided this is one of the nicest places to go to in Amsterdam. Perfect for anyone, but so perfect for stoners. Good music, the place is always lively. The staff was really friendly also so what more could you ask for? Always ended a long Amsterdam day to a Fat Phils and a Fat Doob. So there is experience that has been spent eating at this place :) Definitely recommend for anyone!
