The Lobby Fizeaustraat — Restaurant in Amsterdam

My friend and I had lunch at the lobby Fizeaustraat this Sept. noon with reservation and I would say it was the worst worst worst experience I have ever had, no matter the service or the food. The waitress let us wait for nearly an hour after finishing the starter before main course and at last we had to remind the waitress we still had following dishes.

Bad service was not the end, my friend ordered an egg Benedict suffered a very severe stomach pain and diarrhea which could not let her had any food for that whole day and next day as well.

After the lunch, I wrote the complain letter to the lobby restaurants several times and no one ever ever reply or said anything. NO RESPONSE, NO APOLOGIZE and I would say, I will not recommend any of my friends to this worst place and even one star is too high score for THE LOBBY...

This was an unexpected surprise and an extra bonus having this place where i am staying in the Hotel V Fizeaustraat in Amsterdam. It was unusual when they told me i have to make a reservation in advance , definitely it is fine dining by all means. The place ambience is amazing , and the menu which is the main subject here is a very creative blend of different flavours. The presentation of dishes makes your eyes eat before even tasting the food which was an explosion of flavours that talks to each other in A way tells how creative the Chef is .

In addition to all that the staff members were so welcoming and helpful and knowledgeable and kept asking about our opinion and gave us a delightful service and a splendid night.

A total shock. I have to say, in all my years of travelling the globe, I have never... ever... considered eating in the hotels restaurant. It just wouldn't occur to me, as 99 times in 100 its complete garbage. And I must add, we never intended on coming here, the restaurant we had booked had considerably downsized the menu and it was no longer an option for us. Marching around Amsterdam trying to find somewhere good to eat we gave up and came back to the hotel, which is when we looked into going to The Lobby for dinner. The food was incredible and the service was spot on. Very well looked after. (I never ever find time to write reviews - but I was so taken back I felt the need to let others know!) thank you...
