House of Watt — Restaurant in Amsterdam

Edit: the message from the staff/owner proves my point of how rude and appalling they are. Lying to try and defend themselves then they even called my work place and messaged my employer to get my contact info - harassment I would say.

Our drinks were already paid for before we left, since we had to pay soon as we ordered our drinks at the bar before sitting down funny enough. Please don’t make up things as no one was eating - that’s why the question was even asked to begin with and why we left. Your kitchen was closed and so I still don’t understand such a terrible way to act towards your customers that asked a simple question. Strange how this establishment is acting off of my review when their staff acted completely unprofessional and rude. I’ll be happy to see the next business succeed here when this one is gone ✌🏽

Btw it’s funny how after my 1 star review they loaded up more reviews with 5 stars in the same day from fake accounts after weeks at a time of barely any reviews. Clearly this owner/staff really has it in for his reviews and is triggered.

Original review: Horrible service, rude staff, definitely never bringing my business here again and will tell everyone else I associate with as well. If a customer asks a question (if we can have food delivered to the bar since they weren’t serving food anymore) you can at least be polite about it instead of being completely standoffish and angry. Learn to treat customers who are actually bringing you business to an otherwise very empty establishment.

If you’re in the area I highly recommend going to hotel Casa for any lunch, brunch, dinner, drinks you’ll want. The food and drinks are way better and they actually care about you as a customer and won’t act like...

Nice bar bar with high ceilings giving it a very roomy feel, but unfortunately possibly the worst fish and chips I've ever had in my life. Quite unfortunate as that was a big dampener on a pleasant evening!

EDIT 19/6/24: I received excellent customer service after my first review, whereby management addressed my concerns in a very friendly and courteous manner, and have made improvements to address the fish and chips. While I'm not able to sample these improvements (I don't live closeby), I've updated the service and overall score to reflect the excellent attitude towards customer service and to improving...

Last Sunday for the first time at House of Watt, together with my daughter. I was pretty impressed with the place and it proved to be a perfect exploration venue for my daughter too. She would happily walk up and down the stairs, have a peek in the different rooms, to end up on the playmat with all kinds of toys and wooden things to play with. I had eggs on toast with smased avo and salmon and my daughter had the fluffy pancakes with a royal serving of grapes, blueberries and raspberries. Large gingerteas and applejuice to go with it.
