Le Pain Quotidien — Restaurant in Amsterdam

I try to refrain from chains, especially for bakeries or alike … and for a valid reason! Prices here are a bit higher than a normal bakery or breakfast place and the quality is not exceptional. Don’t get me wrong, food is okay and it’s not CRAZY expensive: simply for the same amount of money you can eat better in a better location of Amsterdam, that’s it! But the atmosphere is very cosy, it has lots of space inside with high ceilings which are very aesthetic! Waited so long for our order and first they brought the wrong order. Then they brought the right one 15 minutes later and it was a cappucino which was very bad ( watery and no milk in it ? ) . When we wanted to pay we noticed some things were wrong so we said it and the response from the person was : “Well these are our prices “ . In the end they were wrong so they gave us our money back in cash because they charged us more. I really did not have any problems here before and really liked it but I will not go there again and wont recommend it...

Very busy today on a Saturday 24th Aug, sat about 10 min and I was only provided with a menu card. Needed to wave to the waiter to order and to ask to clean the table. My lunch was served within reasonable time, but I could not understand why my drinks did not come when I finished my lunch, saw people ordered drinks after me and got theirs before me.
