I'm Italian, and everyone knows how italians feel about pizza and the tradition that comes with it. And it's very disturbing when such traditions are trashed in such a despicable way. Their pizza is one of the worst I've ever eaten. I've been in many different countries and, of course, it already happened to me to taste bad pizzas. But this is even worse than Domino's dirty bread! I ordered a "Prosciutto d'Abruzzo" (the name already shows how they don't have any clue of what Prosciutto is and which one should go on pizza). The pizza came with no mozzarella on the base (madness) and the toppings (cherry tomatoes and rocket) were still frozen. The crust was so large that they might have as well served me just bread. Moreover, it was hard and crunchy (it can be crunchy on the surface btw, but it's always soft on the inside). My girlfriend had a "Funghi e Pancetta" which was slightly better cause it was a bit more tasty. However, that combination of toppings was kinda weird. Most of the others were fine in that way. In conclusion, if you're a person who really loves good pizza, do yourself a favor and avoid their...
Read moreFrom the moment we arrived, the staff seemed visibly annoyed, as if our presence was an inconvenience. Once seated, it took an unreasonably long time for someone to take our order. We requested antipasti and pizze, expecting the usual course order. After 30 minutes of waiting, I went to the bar to inquire about the antipasti, only to be told it would be served with the pizze. When I pointed out that antipasti should precede the main course (as the prefix "anti-" suggests), the response was that I should have specified this when ordering.
When the food finally arrived, the margherita pizza was extremely disappointing—a dough base topped with a bloody sea of canned tomato puree which made the pizza soggy. The spritz we ordered was mostly ice, making it difficult to enjoy. Additionally, there were no table napkins provided, and I had to retrieve them from another table since I couldn't catch the waiter's attention.
I am giving two stars solely because the...
Read moreWe stayed at an airb&b close by & came here twice - both times as we were walking by on our way home. The staff were very attentive & friendly, giving me an estimate of how long it would take, & bringing the pizza out to us (we were sitting outside at the tables as it was beautiful out). Pizza was delicious. Thin crust, with a yummy chewiness at the thicker crust edge, delicious flavor from the pizza oven.
We got a salami pizza & a Margherita pizza with prosciutto (an add on). Lots of salami! My Margherita pizza didn’t really have fresh basil on it but was tasty & the prosciutto was the little hit of salt I wanted every few bites.
Would go again when we’re in town again. Easy,...
