Simit Paleis A.S. — Restaurant in Amsterdam

For 3 years now, we have been going to this place for the broodje kip doner met kaas (chicken sandwich with cheese). A happy accident, we decided to give this a shot and haven't looked back since. We haven't even tried other doner places because we are afraid it won't be as good. The sandwich is perfection: fresh, warm, toasted bread. Flavorful chicken with tasty condiments, melty cheese and yummy spicy sauce. And fresh, crisp lettuce, onions and tomatoes (cilantro too). We don't live in Amsterdam, but we go out of our way to eat here for special occasions because it is THAT GOOD. Affordable also and the workers are always super nice, fast...

So delicious and huge portion! I always get the Turkse pizza with döner en kaas for 6 euros. They add an ample amount of meat, sauce, and fresh crunchy veggies. I love how juicy and flavorful it is! I’ve tried out at least 7 döner places in the city and this place is tied for first with Kismet. The only thing I wish they had was a better place for seating. Visiting Amsterdam this week-end, we have discovered the place while passing by it with the tramway. Everything was amazing, we were pleasantly surprised. Lahmacun, doner, boreks (su boregi, spinach borek), baklava, cookies, all tasty - it really worths it as the food is not pricey and the service is excellent.
