Caribbean Grill Amsterdam — Local services in Amsterdam

Don't know what happened to this place in a short period of time. This was once a favorite of ours but after multiple disappointing orders we will not be going back.

One night - ordered from Uber around 20hr, almost an hour later was told it was closed and the order was cancelled. They close at 21.30 per Uber.

Second night - order the chicken platter, two of the sides were replaced with 2cm thick corn on the cob... Chicken and rice served sparingly.

Third night - and this was the order that showed there is something wrong with the kitchen. Ordered 2 chicken platters 1 order was similar to second night example. The other "chicken platter" was just a bin filled with fries and another 2cm thick cut of corn on the cob.

Not quite sure what happened to the quality here, because we truly enjoyed this place but after I spoke to someone after the this it was clear they don't care. We are done, and will not be going back. If you decide to go, I hope the...

I used to come here often, but they've raised the prices too much. Can't say that I blame them as there are still lines out the door, but for me it's way too pricey for take away. That's just business I suppose. This really isn't acceptable when they run out of stuff that's supposed to come with the meal.

On top of that the staff aren't great, they're slow and communicate poorly if food will take a long time to prepare, think 1 hour plus. They're extremely slow and in the meantime while waiting delivery notifications keep coming in and you're basically screwed as a customer physically waiting there.

Also the music sometimes is way too loud with the bass up so high that all you hear is hissing. You literally can get a headache.

A shame as the food is really good. I can recommend dropping by when it's quiet, otherwise don't bother. If they could fix the wait times and service this would easily...

Ordering online doesn’t work. They will make the food when you arrive on location.

After i paid, 30 minutes later.. people who ordered after me left earlier with their food. When i asked about my order, they didn’t even send my order to the kitchen… resulting in more waiting time.. the food was always great at their old location but the staff is drama. More people got served faster.

Food is overpriced, platters costs around 20€ for 1 thin piece of meat and lots of cheap side dishes. (See pic) Fries are baked in old oil and it tasted! and the meat was not warm served after waiting 45 minutes😂.
