A Memorable Michelin-Star Experience at Tannay, Amsterdam
During a recent business trip to Amsterdam, my wife and I had the pleasure of dining at Tannay, and what an unforgettable experience it was! From start to finish, everything was executed to perfection â a true showcase of culinary artistry and impeccable service.
We enjoyed the 5-course tasting menu, beautifully crafted and paired with an equally impressive wine arrangement. Each dish was a thoughtful composition of flavors and textures, highlighting the creativity and skill of the kitchen team. Highlights for us included: ⢠Tarte petit pois with agria and pecorino, delicately balanced and a wonderful start to the evening. ⢠Jardin de legumes with bĂŠarnaise and Vin Jaune â a delightful celebration of vegetables with deep, rich flavors. ⢠Morilles with gnocchi and cime di rapa, earthy and elegant, a standout dish. ⢠The Knolselderij with sauce PĂŠrigourdine and pied de mouton mushrooms â an absolute treat. ⢠Desserts like the Hazelnoot with caramel and tuiles and the tarte citron meringue were the perfect sweet finish, combining finesse with indulgence.
We also opted for the 5-glass wine pairing, and each selection complemented the dishes beautifully, curated with great care and expertise.
The service throughout was professional, warm, and attentive, contributing to a relaxed yet refined atmosphere.
Pricing was very reasonable for a Michelin-star level experience â âŹ89 for the 5-course menu and âŹ46 for the wine pairing, as reflected on our final bill.
If you are visiting Amsterdam and looking for a top-tier dining experience in a beautiful and intimate setting, I would highly recommend Tannay. This was one of the highlights of our trip, and we will definitely return when next in the city.
Thank you to the whole team at Tannay for a truly...

Read moreMy family and I started our meal and were sat, in the tight corner, at 8pm, looked at the menu, told our server which version of the menu we wanted, and then waited for our courses. It started out nice and the food was amazing. About an hour in another couple sat down next to us. We were about 3 courses in when this happened, and the couple quickly caught up to us in the span of an hour. We sat and waited most of the time, several times I saw people walk over to the table next to us, look at how we were out of water or done with the course we had and walk away. This kept repeating throughout the night, and we still hadnât even gotten to the dessert by 10:30. At about 11pm we asked for the check and it sat there till 11:40 till we went up and paid on our way out without having of even getting the...
