AH Haarlemmerdijk — Local services in Amsterdam

Horrible experience! The worst AH!!! I just had a horrible experience at this store and was assaulted by an employee. For the past several times that I've used the self check out I've had to empty out my bag and have the items checked before being able to pay. There is an employee with dark curly hair and glasses that is always really rude. Today I complained that every time I use the self check out I have to go through this. Apparently she did NOT like that I complained and started throwing the items hard at my hand as I was trying to put the scan items in my bag. She threw a can at my hand that hit really hard. That's physical abuse!!! I don't understand why this store tolerates this type of behavior! This employee needs serious anger management and customer...

today i went to AH and i didnt want to buy anything still because i was going to exercise, BUT i wanted to check if they had soapy otherwise on my way back i would stop in a different supermarket. I left without buying anything, and i could see from far away the blond, blue eyes security looking at me and he stopped me, asking if i bought something, why did i go to the supermarket and what i was looking for. i said to him what i was looking for, and he still asked me WHY i didnt get. i asked him if he wanted to check myself and why he was asking me those questions, he said to me that he needed to ask everyone. which is a lie, pretty sure if it was a blonde blue eyes european women he...

Possibly the worst AH in all of NL. And the reason? The staff. Or rather the horrible girls who loiter around the self service checkouts, hollering and cackling away at each other like Victorian fish wives with scant regard to the fact that they’re supposed to be at work. If you do need their help, they’ll look at you like they’ve just found a skid mark on a hotel towel.

Is it some kind of official policy on the part of AH I wonder? Some sort of respite scheme for the poor parents of these awful spawn just to get them out the house for a while? If so, that’s fine, but there really ought to be warnings...
