Visited this relatively new restaurant with a group, where no alcohol is served – which is fine. The food was average, the portions felt small for the price. What really bothered me, however, was that the customer didn’t seem to come first.
For example, the menu stated we would get four fish cakes, but we were only served three, and they weren’t big. When we pointed this out to the waiter, we were told it depended on the size of the cakes. You would think the customer should benefit in such a case, not the restaurant. And again, the fish cakes weren’t that big, and I don’t believe they were homemade. It seems like they were previously bought from the frozen section. Like the other starters.
Additionally, our dish was supposed to come with two servings of white rice. The first serving came in a small bowl, and we were told we had to finish that before getting the second one. This was especially frustrating since we were with a group, and we had to wait for more rice while our food was already getting cold.
The food itself was average, but the service and lack of customer care really dampened the experience. For that reason, I wouldn’t recommend...
Read moreWe did not feel like going far for dinner and this place is a short walk from our hotel. Besides we love Thai food!
Our hopes were really raised by the spice level of the som tum salad - it was up there and had a two chili rating on the menu.
We also got the spring rolls which were just average, but not bad. The Tom Kha soup was not that good: it was sweet, had cabbage in it, and since we asked for the chicken version, had larger pieces of breast that did not really add anything.
For our mains we tried the Pad Thai, masaman, and krapow. The masaman had the best flavor. But we got the beef version and that was overcooked and tough.
The pad thai was sweet, the noodles stuck to each other and there was not much flavor. The krapow was the biggest disappointment: it had three Chili's on the menu so we expected significant heat. It was bland.
Service was great. Even staff that did not speak English were nice and tried to be accommodating
Overall. This is an...
