Berensen — Restaurant in Arnhem

We went there on Sunday afternoon. It was nice weather so we would like to sit outside. A bit busy there but still have seats outside at their terrace. There are menu for drinks and lunch at the table. So when waitress came by we can order immediately. We ordered drink and lunch. Tosti with salmon and bread with some meat (forgot the name) Not too long wait even they busy at lunch time, our foods arrived. Tosti with salmon and some cheese, nice and warm. Come with small bag of ketchup and small salad.I think it's yummy but my partner not think that. Bread with meat(I think it's pork) it's big pieces of bread come with meat and Sate sauce, topped with fried egg. Sided with small salad. Also nice and warm, well prepared. There are toilet inside restaurant that you can use. It's clean and free for customers.

We enjoyed food there and sitting out for nice weather but what we didn't like is people smoking around. It's terrace so many people smoking while sitting there. I think it will be better at restaurant to have a smoke free terrace, at least can have zone for that. I do like sitting outside but hate...

My wife and I love coffee and trying new places is something we really like to do. So when or regular place was closed due to a leak, we decided to sit outside at Berensen and order 2 cappuccinos from a very unfriendly waitress. Based on the price of €4.20 per cappuccino with oat milk I was expecting something pretty good. However, when they arrived it looked like something from a bean to cup or nespresso machine. I was not expecting much after seeing this. My lack of expectation could not have prepared for what I tasted. Suffice to say, both my wife and I took one tiny sip. The coffee was undrinkable. I literally mean undrinkable. It was beyond burnt and bitter. Both of us left our full cups and asked for the bill. Our unfriendly waitress told us the price and asked how we wanted to pay. She then asked if she could take the cups away. There was no question at all as to why both of us had not drunk any of the contents of the cup. We paid and left. Won't be going back. Unfortunately did not...

Good Position in centre town of Arnhem It's situated on the corner of the building and five streets meeting in this place :)

They have a wonderful terrace looking cheap but position makes all the money with many people waking around the terrace.

I give them 5 stars because of the potential possibilities to make this terrace nicely.
