Trattoria & Pizzeria Così Arnhem — Restaurant in Arnhem

Just had my first experience at Così yesterday. It seems packed with people when I entered, a positive sign for a good experience waiting for me. Vibe: love it, absolutely my style so I feel comfortable Staff: very friendly and highly support. There're always staffs near by to help me to change the table or order. After the dishes are served for a while they will kindly ask about your experience so far, which is good snd very intuitive Wine: I had Verdicchio which is very delish, nice paring with the pasta and pizza. It also leveraged the taste of the food after that Food: In general, both pizza and pasta taste are adjusted to fit with people so it's less authentic than the ones I had in Rome. For pizza, I ordered Bresaola, the tomato sauce is nice but still sweet to me. I expected something more savory and strong. The carbonara has a huge portion of pasta and bacon sauce. Personally I prefer the carbonara more, as I stated more savory flavor than the pizza. Dessert: as a dessert lover, I ordered tiramisu, pannacotta and semifreddo. Tiramisu is bitter than normal I think so I didn’t like the sponge cake with coffee syrup a lot, the mascarpone cheese is yummy and rich vice verse. Panama cotta is quite sweet somehow, which could be compensate when you order with the semifreddo. As the semifreddo is sour and not too sweet. In this competition, the winner is semifreddo ;) Price: it is ~75e for my meal, including 5 glasses of Verdicchio, make sense to me with the good customer service like Così. I will pay other visits in the future to try other pizzas and pastas, kinda curious to find the more...

I came here because I was looking for authentic Italian food. This place really delivered! I went on a Sunday around 6.30 and the place was full. But the staff was really helpful and pro-active about how and where we could wait. The terrace was not great, since it is located next to a road and the parking lot of the Albert Heijn. It was not quiet and the floor can be quite uneven. Fortunately, the food was amazing. We tried 2 pastas and the tiramisu. The pasta had very distinct flavour which I wish I could replicate at home. The potion is a bit small for a whole meal. The tiramisu on the other hand was a large potion and delicious. The toilets were clean. The price is very reasonable: most main dishes are between 10 and 15 if I recall correctly. Dit is een gezellig restaurant dat voornamelijk wordt bezocht door mensen tot pakweg 30 jaar. Misschien is het er daarom wel gezellig druk.

Als voorgerecht deelden we Pan'del Piero en Crostini Pomodoro.

De Pan'del Piero is een droge pizzabodem met wat zout en kruiden en doet het goed bij je aperitief. Een Spaanse versie zou met knoflook en olie worden bereid, maar dat is voor het Arnhemse publiek misschien een beetje te heftig. De prijs van 7,50 per stuk is voor een droge bodem waar niet te veel werk aan is, aan de hoge kant. Maak 'm 5,00 euro en iedereen neemt er minstens één per tafel.

De Crostini Pomodoro komt als zes stukjes geroosterd stokbrood met daarop, de naam zegt het al, een tomaatprakje. Daarbij nog wat rucola op het bord. De broodjes waren tamelijk hard; in elk geval voorbij krokant. Een beetje basilicum erop zou de smaak overigens nog wat kunnen oppeppen. 7,50 euro voor deze lekkere snack is terecht, want er moet tenslotte een beetje werk voor worden gedaan.

Ik had een pizza Gorgonzola waar wat meer gorgonzola op had gemogen, want iets met die naam mag van mij best wat nadrukkelijker zo smaken. Meerdere tafelgenoten hadden een pizza Salsicce, een pittige pizza met stukjes worst zonder vel, en waren daar prima over te spreken.

De rode huiswijn smaakte goed. Was de naam Primitivo? Zou kunnen. Een glas kost je 4,25. Voor Nederland normaal, zullen we maar zeggen. Ik zal dus geen vergelijking maken met Spanje.

De keuze aan nagerechten is beperkt. De meesten van ons hadden Pannacotta. Lekker, maar de saus mag iets minder zoet.

En dan de klapper, of beter het gebrek daaraan: ze bieden geen ijs als nagerecht! Hallo! Een Italiaans restaurant en geen ijs? Niet te geloven. Zet een goed merk slagroomijs op de kaart en wees eerlijk over de herkomst. Hoeft echt niet huisgemaakt te zijn. Daarbij een keuze aan likeuren om er overheen te gieten. Makkelijk in voorraad te houden en automatisch veel keus. Zorg wel voor verse slagroom en niet iets uit een spuitbus.

Koffie was OK. Muntthee was er niet meer, maar voor de betreffende tafelgenoot is een vervangend drankje bereid. Op kosten van het huis. Prima.

Al met al een leuke avond in een gezellig restaurant met aardige, informele, bediening.

De toiletvoorzieningen zijn tamelijk eenvoudig, maar schoon. Niet onbelangrijk.
