We made it a point to visit C'est La Vie while in Bonaire due to their overwhelming praise online regarding their charcuterie boards and they did not disappoint. The restaurant is right off the pier for those of you disembarking from a cruise and if you were not paying attention you may walk right by it. I did not and literally ran off the ship to get there early enough to make a reservation. The owner was gracious enough to allow us to make a reservation for 6 at 2PM even though they close at 3PM and we showed up promptly ready to sample the meats and cheeses. We order two boards with wine and by gawd the meats and cheeses were absolutely fantastic. Read moreWe visit Bonaire annually, and eat out every night. We spotted this restaurant early on and decided to give it a chance, During our 2 week visit to Bonaire we ended up going there 4 times for dinner and once for lunch, The food is simple, well prepared, with accompanying fresh vegetables. Nice selection of reasonably priced wines Charcuterie plate is to die for. Very nice desserts The owner and his wife are both very warm and friendly. The restaurant is relatively new only opened 3 months ago. We really wish them well and hope to revisit them again next year. A group of friends of ours on our advice, went there and also very much enjoyed their meal making a reservation for the following...

The staff was nice and accommodating, nothing personal, but the food was horrible. Octopus carpaccio was nothing but few paper thin slices, weighing probably less than 30 grams and even that due to huge amount of salt in it. Grilled vegetables dry and overcooked. Why didn’t we send food back and ate it instead? That happened because of extreme hunger and fatigue after the morning of windsurfing. Plus were raised by frugal parents from generation who survived a lot of shortages and taught us to...
