A young large blond lady came out whilst I was perusing the menu board this evening for the Daghap $20 'specials'. She said I could have shrimps with a garlic Alfredo like sauce as I do not eat meat. She said I would get a drink with the meal, soda or wine. I thought, 'why not, I will try'. Now, previously I am never keen to go to empty places, or non busy places. This establishment only had a couple of people inside. I will in future stick to this ideal. I will never go to dine in a non busy place. So, I sit and first the wine comes. The glass is already on the table. She pours about a tablespoon for me to try in the glass. I said it was fine. It was quite warm, but at least it was sweet as I requested. This was the first bad part. Then she filled a small part of the glass and was walking off. I said the glass is not full. She says glass only gets filled to the widest part? This then makes the wine approximately 100ml. Even a small glass of wine in uk would be 175ml. Unbelievable.. They should have just put a shot glass there and be done with it. Then my 'Alfredo' arrives. Only its a kids sized plate filled with an extremely greasy Bami. It was almost cold. Like noodle salad without veg. Heavily garlicky and lots of parsley. Not asked if I would like salt and pepper. No condiments. After saying to her I disliked the food, the waitress obviously got the cook/owner to come out still wearing apron. He said 'schmeckt' perhaps he was German. Anyways I said it was not how it was supposed to be. He said everything was fresh. That does not mean it will taste good if someone can't cook! Anyways it tasted old. Pasta was not freshly cooked, and it was not al'dente. I eat pasta homemade frequently. This was reheated cheap stuff. No discount for super greasy slop. I had to leave most of it as the grease was too much. A thick layer of grease in the bowl remained with the old spaghetti. The worst meal I have had for a long time. $20 wasted. Do NOT go here. A very bad and...
Read moreFood was okay, not bad, but nothing special. I just felt uncomfortable with the service. They weren’t specifically rude but a bit unattentive. Like, we ordered a sandwich that was supposed to have an avocado in it, but it didn’t. We never got water, and I ordered a shake that never came. The latte was mainly foam. I don’t mind all that so much, but what really rubs me the wrong way is that they handwrote an $18 tip on the receipt and called it a service tax. I always give a 20% tip, but in my opinion, the tip should be earned… when you handwrite it in, it just feels sleazy. Anyway, this may not bother you, so by all means. But I felt like for others who care about that kind of stuff, your money would be better spent elsewhere, like literally go down the street to Luciano, where I always have a great experience. I really wanted to try this place, so I did. It was way too expensive for what you get; I paid $70 for waffles, yogurt, and an avocado sandwich (with no avocado). I’m probably not going to go...
Read moreWe drove past this side and thought it looked cozy so stopped for breakfast here. It turned out to be absolutely horrible. We had to wait quite some time before being attended, while the place was practically empty. We had an uitsmijter and, curaçao sandwich and two croissants. The corissants were fresh but they were a bit burnt on the outside and kind of still uncooked on the inside. The uitsmijter was absolutely horrible, very greasy and cooked in what I believe is the bacon fat, so it had all these charred bacon bits in it. The presentation of the food was that of an amateur cook that really had no idea what he was doing. The curaçao sandwich was filled with curry mayonaise and the snoked chicken was stale. We were with the kids and the staff was not friendly at all towards the kids. I would not recommend to eat here. Do not be fooled by its nice and...
