Our 8 year’s anniversary dinner at Al Dente went well. They serving big portions and friendly services. They have long list wine and food menu. We had scallops with cheese sauce on top for starter and we love it as its delicious! I has lamb rack and my partner had seabream. The lamb rack cook well medium rare but the herbs on top of the lamb have a bitter flavour. Bitter its not my favourite but it could be unique for other people. Vriendelijk onbeleefd De gastvrouwen leken vriendelijk, maar luisterden niet naar ons als gasten. Ze gingen tegen ons in en maakte onbeleefde opmerkingen. Het eten was prima, maar naar onze mening klopt de prijs-kwaliteitverhouding niet, vooral bij de voorgerechten.
Aan het restaurant (want op de avond zelf stonden jullie niet open voor feedback): De bediening was in de basis vriendelijk, maar er ging iets mis in de communicatie. Onze bestelling werd pas 35 minuten na binnenkomst opgenomen, terwijl de tafel naast ons – die later arriveerde – wel snel werd geholpen, terwijl wij ook duidelijk klaar zaten. Toen we, na 55 minuten binnen te zijn, vroegen of ons voorgerecht bijna kwam, kregen we als antwoord dat we ‘pas 20 minuten geleden hadden besteld’. Dat klopt, maar in totaal zaten we al lang te wachten.
Daarna voelde de gastvrouw de noodzaak nogmaals te komen uitleggen dat we pas 20 minuten eerder hadden besteld. Haar opmerking dat het “een avondvullend programma” is en dat je “niet zomaar in en uit loopt”, kwam op ons over alsof we niet wisten hoe een restaurant werkt.
Het wachten zelf was niet het grootste probleem, maar het gevoel niet gehoord te worden. Dat gevoel werd bevestigd toen bij het hoofdgerecht werd gezegd dat we ‘voorrang’ hadden gekregen. Lief bedoeld, maar we hadden geen haast, dus daar ging het niet om. Het gevoel die de gastvrouw ons gaf met haar opmerkingen is lastig te omschrijven, maar het klopte gewoon niet.
