Horrible evening with rude waiters!
I came few times to this place and even introduce to my friends come from overseas to visit this place many times. I would never come back and promote this place anymore after yesterday horrible experience! I booked a table for 4 people at 845pm and I can’t reach and change table for 5 people. I come and explained to the staff. She said she can’t add another chair because it will block the walk way. She promise to get back to us and we are waited for 1hour and no one come back to us even though she know and aware we are waiting for the table. Finally, one of my friend try again and ask of we can have any place to order drinks. My friend managed to get standing table and we ordered our drinks and because of we are 5 people and its limited space for everyone. We don’t even have enough chair to seat! From beginning one waiter (a guy) was so grumpy and not professional at all to us. He literally being rude to one of my guest by saying something not nice to her! Unbelievable! We paid to this guy for drinks and the drinks didn’t serve to us after 40mins waiting, I decided to go find waiter to help check the drinks. One guy from the bar with silver necklace said to me go order at the bar even though I explained we already paid!! Another guy asking me if i need something and i told him my situation and he didn’t come back to me. After all the hustle i went to the bar and talk to one lady name (manuq) she open and check my order and she said oh no one take this order and make it. They are forgot to make it and serve to us. After 1hour waiting Manuq send the drinks to us. The only one nice waiter yesterday night. TO MANAGER or THE OWNER of TAFC Breda. This is a BIG BIG SHAME to have unprofessional and untrained staffs! I demand to any of you to send me a message regarding...
Read moreThe Street Food Club in Breda is an absolute gem! Located in a former theater, the ambiance is captivating with its stunning design featuring floral Art Deco elements and touches reminiscent of Gaudi's organic forms. The open and inviting atmosphere immediately draws you in, making it a perfect spot for a memorable dining experience.
The food here is served in flights of bite-sized items, offering a great variety that caters to different tastes. Each dish is beautifully presented, and there’s something for everyone. The waiting times between courses and for basic service elements like drinks were a bit long, but it was understandable given how packed the restaurant was. Despite this, the overall experience was still fantastic.
The highlight for me was the vegetarian side dishes. The flavor profiles and spices used were outstanding, making each bite a delight. Even if you're not typically a fan of vegetarian dishes, you might find yourself pleasantly surprised. The protein-based dishes were also quite good, though they sometimes leaned towards being a bit generic in seasoning. However, they were still enjoyable and well-prepared.
Overall, The Street Food Club offers a unique and enjoyable dining experience. The beautiful decor, combined with the variety and quality of the food, makes it a place I would highly recommend. Even with the longer wait times, the great atmosphere and delicious dishes more than make up for it. A clear five-star...
Read moreI recently dined at this charming place, and while it’s a lovely spot, it left me with mixed feelings. The ambiance is fantastic—warm, modern decor with subtle Asian-inspired touches, like bamboo accents and soft lighting, creating a cozy yet stylish vibe. The menu is diverse, offering a range of dishes from stir-fries and noodle bowls, with plenty of options for vegetarians and meat lovers alike. The presentation of the food was impeccable, and the portions were generous.
However, the flavors didn’t quite hit the mark for me. While the dishes were tasty and well-prepared, they lacked the authentic, bold Asian taste I was craving. The spices and seasonings felt toned down, perhaps tailored to a more Western palate, which dulled the vibrancy you’d expect from true Asian cuisine. For example, the bowls was pleasant but missing that tangy, umami punch, and curry, though fresh, felt a bit generic.
The service was friendly and attentive, and the option to pair meals with Asian-inspired cocktails was a nice touch. It’s a great place for a casual night out or if you’re new to Asian cuisine, but if you’re seeking authentic, soulful flavors, you might find it a bit underwhelming. Still, the inviting atmosphere and solid execution make it worth a visit for a relaxed...
