Saigon Deli — Restaurant in Breda

It's a reasonably small Vietnam restaurant with a decent size menu. We were a group, with three ordering the chef's 2 course menu and others single dishes. The service was fast and when we asked for spicy, we got a bowl of chilli dy coconut condiment they use in cooking, which paired soo well with all dishes(highly recommended if you like spicy). All the dishes were very good and right on the mark. My favorite was stir fried beef which was literally melting in my mouth; the chicken was a bit dry though. SHOCKED AND DEEPLY OFFENDED BY STAFF RACIST COMMENT.

I had an extremely unpleasant and offensive experience at this restaurant during lunch.

After finishing the meal, my friend asked the staff for a plastic bag to take my leftovers. She had some difficulty opening the bag and politely asked for help. To my shock and disgust, after assisting her, the staff member muttered “stupid Chinese” under his breath — clearly loud enough for me to hear.

This kind of racist, unprofessional behavior is appalling and completely unacceptable. No customer deserves to be disrespected, insulted, or targeted because of their race or background.

We came here to enjoy Vietnamese food — not to be subjected to...

Had the opportunity to have a quick dinner here thanks to a cancelled train :) In the end, I'm thankful the train was cancelled because the food was delicious. I took one one of the dishes with vermicelli noodles (#24, I don't recall the name, but it was the option with pork!) and it was delicious. The ingredients all tasted very fresh and the pork was super tasty. My partner chose the first pho option (#9? With chicken), which was delicious too.

I also really loved the homemade iced tea, which was made of my favorite kind: Jasmin tea!
