Eetcafé Zeezicht Breda — Restaurant in Breda

Café Zeezicht i would highly recommend from walking around in Breda with a friend many places were closed or closing so when I asked if they were open and serving they said yes sure till 12 midnight. Myself and friend had snacks and drinks the Meat Bitterballen were great they had the chunks of veal meat a welcome treat from the standard mash veal. Chai latte was nice and the soft drinks were a welcome accompaniment. What I liked was that it was the perfect spot to people watch and also to catch up with friends . The staff were very nice and approachable and there if you needed them not in your face like many cafes and restaurants. They even charged my phone when the battery was in the red. This Place is a rip-off. During the last two weeks I ordered 3 times more or less the same drinks at their outside bar (due to corona the restaurant is closed). The prices they asked were 3 times completely different. 1 double shot espresso + 1 ball of ice cream + 1 americano. At my first visit I had to pay € 6,50 - second visit €15!!!!! and today I was asked to pay € 8,50. After asking the guy today he told me that a double espresso is actually two espresso so you have to pay two (€ 4 😳). However - the amount he wanted me to pay was still € 1 too much.

Of course I received the money they were asking on top of the bill back after I told them they were making a ‘mistake’. But what a cheap way of ripping off...

Seems a great place from outside and staff do their best but very slow service and not customer service that great . Takes ages to take orders , order comes wrong and cold . To pay its slow and you have to ask waiter warriors times you could actually walk out without paying as dont pay much attention.Maybe just bad day as the terrace was full and not too many people inside , maybe because we were foreigners and had kids with us .
