Ellis Gourmet Burger — Restaurant in Breda

Really disappointed. I have ordered and dined-in with Ellis Burger many times. Always had a good experience dining in the restaurant, but never had a good experience ordering home delivery (we live 10mins away). It usually takes over an hour to arrive, once waited over 2 hours. But this time was the last time... The delivery was the quickest it had ever been, but this time the food was seriously cold, dry and nothing tasted fresh. I had a burger and my partner had the loaded fries. The loaded fries (and the fries that came with my burger) was such a small portion for the price we paid, and you could 'break a window' with how hard they were. The burger bun was so dry it felt stale, I received no cheese on the burger but the option only suggested "extra cheese" instead of "add cheese", so that was not clear. After several bad experiences with home delivery, I don't think we will order from Ellis again. Such a shame, because - when fresh - they usually...

Atmosphere is still pleasant, busy today around lunch. The food could be improved on (and in some cases needs to. The calamares are well prepared but with too much batter masking some of the taste. The Korean Burger, advertised as being spicy lacks flavour and spice both (the meat quality is good and well prepared). But for the listing on the menu - it would have been a very remote guess that indeed the Burger was supposed to be Korean (with kimchi alone it would have been a different story). When mentioning this to service - it was stated that ‘corporate’ did not listen to feedback or was not interested. Not what a customer wants to hear - the honesty notwithstanding. We were also asked how we thought it could be improved - well - give me a moment to run the store and I will (because I can …) - again not something a customer should be asked - even though done very pleseantly. When we entered there was some “chaos” in the room, there were a lot of take-out orders and the staff was just busy…

However we were seated in a few minutes, and all went well from here on…

Delicious, and lots of food options for special diets including: vegan gluten free salad instead of burger Just ask, they’ll help you

My partner told me this was one of the best “burger-goes-salad” dish she ever had, it actually was a dish instead of just ditching the bread…

And a friendly waitress.

Just a bit expensive compared to other “high end” burger places in my opinion…
