Stilleven — Restaurant in Breda

We travelled to Breda specifically for this place, for their High Tea, because of the good reviews. The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was nice, but unfortunately we were very disappointed in everything they served. The tea was tasteless, regardless of what flavours we picked and regardless of how long we let the tea leaves (which looked more like powder than anything) simmer. The food was equally disappointing. The little sandwiches were not presented well and lacked any creativity or imagination, the flavours were very bland and basic. The desserts were also a big disappointment, everything just tasted like it was bought at a cheap Dutch supermarket and then placed on a plate. All the food lacked creativity, flavour, and put us off trying High Tea again in the near future, unfortunately. We would not recommend this place to anyone, unless you enjoy bland and boring flavours and ingredients that you can find at any Dutch...

Be warned People; this is a Beatifull little PEARL in Breda. It combines well selected 'brocante' furniture and little wanna haves with excellent design of the interiour. Besides that they serve lunch; homemade cake's, salades, perfect capuchino, fresh fruit drinks. Big bonus is; kindness of the girls working here serving you with professionalism and a smile. Truly honest proces for the quality of dood and drinks you het here. LOVE THIS PLACE and will defenately come...

Just a little place in a shopping street? I had the best sandwich EVER, Vegan, an addictive combination of flavours that had me wishing I could do an Oliver Twist and go back for more. Oat milk, home-baked dessert and no-nonsense but good service. The home-made soda was delicious....
