Mondi City Beach Curaçao — Restaurant in Curaçao

This is a type of place that I would frequent often if I lived here and a place I wish we had back where I’m from.

Service was exceptional, 3 people (waiter, food runner, and manager) checked on us and went out of their way to make sure everything was good. It’s usually common to have waiter and food runner check in but the manager to check in was above and beyond and you just don’t get that very often at least where we are from (Indianapolis)

The menu I could tell was chef inspired and it had and Italian/Asian/Caribbean fusion that was unique and appreciated.

We had the Dutch croquettes, Short Rib dumplings and Beef Pestachi (empanada like). All just bangers. Delicious.

The vibe and ambience was amazing, the DJ or whomever was playing the music there were literally playing 90’s R&B and Hip Hop bangers the entire time we were there. I loved every minute of it.

The cherry on top and I know this may be a small thing but the cutlery was presented in a branded sleeve and gold and well designed. I’m not sure if it’s a Dutch thing or a Curaçao thing but all the cutlery where we have visited are very well designed. Small detail...

This place recently opened about three weeks ago, so I decided to check it out today. The vibe here is very relaxing, calm, and pleasant. The sound of waves crashing against the rocks, along with the waterfall, creates a wonderful atmosphere. There’s a nice pool with a bar, plenty of daybeds, and lounge chairs.
