I went on the walking tour and Rayay was our guide. He was knowledgeable about the area, shared copious amounts of information about the history of Curaçao, and was engaging with the crowd the entire time. It was great starting our trip with this tour because we were introduced to different shops, dining spots, and historical areas we would have never known about otherwise. I feel like everyone should do this tour, so they know which sites to revisit during their vacation. Everyone was asking questions and curious to learn more about all the topics we discussed. I believe this showed how our group was tuned in and appreciated the effort our guide put in to make this a special experience for us. 5/5 would recommend this to anyone.

The tour was interesting and is a good introduction to the town. The guide was good and informative. We stopped at several stores where you could cool off. It ended at a good viewpoint up on the rooftop bar of a hotel. We ducked into several stores and an art gallery which were welcome respites from the oppressive sun and heat. One of our stops was at Lionfish Caribbean. Jennie showed us a lionfish and talked of how they are environmental problems. Their place pays spearfishermen who carefully collect them and then they produce various dishes (both raw and cooked) from them. There was a video showing how it's done. Another stop was a store selling primarily alcohol. We each sampled one of the beverages.

Started off with the Otrobanda walking tour with Frank, he was amazing and very knowledgeable. I learned a lot about the history, culture and street art in Willemstad. He had great recommendations for food (keshi yena, lionfish etc.). Loved it so much that I booked another walking tour 2 days later: Punda Vibes with Mitch. Was great to explore the other side of the city and experience the great vibes with live music on a Thursday. As a solo traveller this walking tour proved to be the perfect activity to meet new people, and I had a great time hanging out with them even after the tour ended.

We had a great morning tour of Otrabanda/Punda with Mitch which emphasized the beautiful local art--particularly the murals--but also included some of the history of Curacao and cultural tidbits. We went to many spots we would never have found on our own--down back alleys, through interesting neighborhoods, and up to a beautiful lookout from which we could see the bay and the old center of Punda. We also learned about things we didn't know--the importance of the Shell refinery during WWII, which places to go back to (the old Jewish synagogue/Jewish Museum and the Kura Hulanda Museum/Village), and how many pro baseball players have come from Curacao:) Mitch's tour was so informative we decided to join him for a second evening tour of Punda/Skarloo/Pietermaai which was also very interesting and included beautiful views of the sunset from a lovely beach club area. We highly recommend taking one...

Frank and Mitch were our guides. We were a small group of 5. It was easy to stay together and hear all descriptions. Frank gave a robust history of Curacao and explained the current state of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The tour moved at a comfortable pace. There was opportunity for photos, questions and a toilet break. We feel we saw the highlights of Punda and Ostrabanda. Frank pointed out mural artworks, talked about the artists and toured us through an area with galleries and locals making handicrafts. He also took us to the Lion Fish restaurant where we learned about this sea predator. We feel that Frank and Mitch provided some good tips about places to eat like a local. Frank made reference to all beach locations on the island. He is an enthusiast guide and ambassador for Curacao. We definitely recommend this walking tour. it is well worth your time and a generous tip...
