I was in Curaçao for business and decided to try the Courtyard as I noted it was a new property and I was only staying one night. As a titanium member I was unfortunately extremely disappointed with my experience. ||The pros: it’s a brand new location with decent sized rooms. There is a pool and outdoor bar area that was nice as well. The room itself was about what I expect from a Courtyard, nothing flashy but comfortable. Breakfast was given as an amenity choice for my status and it was a very nice offering. Lots of variety and the staff in the restaurant were all pleasant. ||The cons: Outside of the restaurant staff, the service was mediocre at best. After a very long travel day I was ready to get to my room and unwind. I was disappointed to find that there was no separate queue for Bonvoy elite check-in. I had to wait in line for a very long time because there was only one agent working the front desk. The elevators were not working when I arrived and I was offered zero assistance with my belongings, instead I was passively directed to the staircase and had to haul my bags up a flight of stairs to get to my room. The property also refused to honor late check out despite it being guaranteed for my status level (this is not a resort or convention center property). To me service is something can make or break the experience and overall it felt like my business wasn’t valued here. ||My previous stays in Curaçao have been at the Renaissance & I have had nothing but excellent experiences there. For future trips I will be directing my business back there...
Read moreOur stay was excellent! Travelled with my teenagers they loved the pool and the rooms. The customer service was outstanding from start to finish. The rooms were always spotless, thoroughly cleaned every day with fresh towels and supplies provided daily. The only thing I would have appreciated was a daily replenishment of bottled water.||Breakfast had plenty of tasty options, and the staff were always friendly. One small suggestion would be to include hot chocolate for kids. The pool was a refreshing, clean, well-maintained, with enough sunbeds and chairs for everyone. Drinks at the pool bar were well made, and the amenities throughout the property felt new and modern. Check-in and check-out were quick and easy.||On the days when the electricity went out, I felt something extra could have been offered to guests. That said, I commend the hotel for keeping both the internet and water stable despite the outage.||The location is perfect—10/10, close to everything in town, with a lovely ice cream shop and café just outside. The only minor challenge was finding parking late at night since the lot is shared with nearby businesses. Cost effective as well ||Overall, a wonderful experience and I would...
Read moreI’ll start with the good: The hotel is in a great location, walkable to town (and well lit at night) with lots of dining and shopping options. The room was spacious and clean, and our issue with ants was treated and resolved within about an hour. The shower was large with good water pressure and plenty of hot water.
The not so good: Many of our towels were stained, there was not enough body wash for more than 1 shower and the sink drained very slowly. The hotel doesn’t have a gym, water bottle filling stations or ice machines that we could find. We were happy that the pool closed at 9 because it was loud in our room while people were out there having a good time. The worst thing, though, was the drum performance that went on behind the hotel from at least 8:30-10:30pm. I know the hotel can’t help this, but it was awful due to the thin walls. As a female traveler, I was also not a fan of the shared balconies. After our departing flight was delayed, the hotel would not let us shift checkout 30 minutes later, despite titanium status. Ultimately I was glad we only...
