I really wanted to give Number 10 Curaçao a 5 stars, the place is beautifully located between lush greenery and various trees, there's good amount of parking when you drive in, it seems like a big house that has been renovated and turned into a restaurant. They offer outdoor seating in a very nice and relaxing setting, and they also have indoor seating in different air-conditioned rooms. Service was good, I won't say exceptional, however everyone seems friendly, approachable and willing to help. Now the food, and that's where my debate is, yes the food is good, yes they can use a little more seasoning to give plates more flavors (seen few reviews saying the food is blamd, but that's a personal preference), yes they do offer quality, however you don't get value for what ypu pay for and the cooking is not consistent. We ordered 2 breakfast plates, one had the eggs perfectly good, and the other had the eggs over cooked super dry, almost burnt. The portions were unjustifiably small compared to what they charge for, and most of the breakfast plates do not come with a side or anything else, if you remove any item or substitute any item they still charge you for it even though it's comparable to the item that was removed (from the 3 different charges one charge was for charging the bread to a different one...) I understand part of it if you have additions, but some of it did not make sense. Fresh orange juice is delicious, also small glass, coffee is very good and mostly all the drinks looked good but small. The background music 🎶 was nice, not too loud or distracting, and the lady at the door was very personable and upbeat, which created a very good impression for the place. I would definitely come back and definitely recommend this place. Good luck to the...
Read moreI had seen reviews about the place and wanted to check it out. After arriving, I was pointed to where my table was in, before going back to their tasks (that’s okay, I see the table and they seem busy so it’s not a problem for me to seat myself). However, for the next 20 minutes, I sat there without anyone coming up to me. Nobody greeted me, or asked if I wanted something to drink on this hot day, or even how to access the menu (I figured out myself that it was underneath a piece of decoration on the table). After 20 minutes of nothing, as I was in a time crunch, I had to walk up to a server to ask if I could order despite minutes and many attempts of trying to wave anyone down to order. After all that, you think they’d at least prioritize someone who had to walk up and ask if they could order. Unfortunately, that did not happen as the waitress just started on her other tasks, such as tending to another table that had seated after us. Frustrated with the poor service and my lack of time, I ended up leaving. I had heard the food was good, but given the service, it seemed difficult to even order. The atmosphere was a nice blend of nature, with greenery, quiet music playing, and little birds flying about. However, I’m not sure if today was just a bad day or if the restaurant was understaffed, but even then, I felt that service was ridiculous. As a customer who was excited to try their well reviewed food, I’m disappointed in the basic expectation of any food establishment - the treatment of the customer. I hope this does not happen to others, and I hope service can be improved. The ambiance is really nice. It’s just a shame it was overshadowed by...
Read moreUPDATE: I had to move it from 4 stars to 5 stars since we had a chance to have brunch here! The food was delicious! The atmosphere is also great because there are many different parlors each with their own personality. We really enjoyed both our food and the ambiance. I had the Not So Classic Tosti (without the bacon) and my brother had one of the Reubens. I also had an Awa Lamunchi with a preserved lime which was very refreshing.
ORIGINAL: We stopped here just to try out the dessert. We got the funfetti cake and the cheesecake. The funfetti cake was not a winner. It was too sweet and quite dry. I should have known better because funfetti is typically for kids. The cheesecake was good. It had a nice tangy flavor and was very smooth. It also had a nice berry preserve topping. The location is also very nice. We will be back to try out the...
