Don’t get caught in the tourist traps right off the boat. It’s no secret that you should “do as the locals do” when it comes to food. I already did the homework for all of you. Spend a few bucks and make the taxi ride to Omundo (and the unique attached shopping mall). This will be the best excursion you can take and an experience way better than anything port side. Food is exceptional and Omundo translated is “world”. Meaning the menu has food and influence from all over the world. Everything is delicious and there is something for everyone. Extra bonus. The owner Tony is cool as hell. If you get a chance, spark up a conversation. He is extremely proud and knowledgeable about his hometown Curaçao and eager to share. I recently dined at the restaurant and had an exceptional experience thanks to Cory W. His customer service was truly outstanding. He went above and beyond to inform us about the specials and explained the menu in detail, making our choices easier. To top it off, he surprised me with a fantastic mocktail that was both refreshing and delicious.

As for the food, everything we ordered was delightful. We started with the calamari, gyoza, and shrimp, which were all perfectly prepared. For our main courses, we enjoyed two daily specials—the surf and turf and the catch of the day with veggies—as well as the Pulpo a la brass, truffle beef pasta, O burger, teriyaki-glazed salmon, and hanging tender. Each dish was exquisite, showcasing the chef's talent.

This wonderful restaurant that offers a variety of dishes from favorite cuisines of the world is situated in a little shopping plaza/mall, just a short ride from the cruise line port.
