A bit of background. I have gotten pizzas here for 5 years. The owner, is a great guy. The main problem is the staff (I guess it's not easy to find good employees). The last 11 orders I made always had a problem, either due to delivery or ingredients. A few months back I ordered a calzone li mortazza for me and my girlfriend and asked to remove the sundried tomatoes. They forgot. The next order, I did the same and even called to remind them. They forgot. This time I called to complain and got a voucher for a calzone that I used today, asking to remove the sun-dried tomatoes. Again I found them inside (see pictures). Another time I ordered a small pizza with mozzarella and prosciutto cotto and a small li mortazza calzone without sundried tomatoes. We got a small pizza with tomato, no mozzarella and parma ham and a li mortazza sandwich without sundried tomatoes. We complained, they made them again but this time the calzone had sun-dried tomatoes. Another time I went to the restaurant with my girlfriend to eat there. She ordered a pizza with parma ham and porcini, they added spicy salami. My parents came to visit me, I ordered three pizzas. I went to pick them up and ended up waiting 40 minutes because the pizzaiolo messed up one of the pizzas. I waited before posting any complaint because the owner is really great. Read moreI organized a dinner with a couple of friends. We usually order from Margherita but I opted for something different. We planned to meet at 19.30. I arrived with my burger around that time and the pizzas where supposed to be delivered then. Around 19.45 my burger was getting cold and one of my friends called Margherita. On the first attempt, they closed the phone in his face. On the second attempt they answered: "Yes, hi, I ordered a couple of pizzas on your website to be delivered at 19.30" "..." "..." "Ok...we will make them now. We are really busy" The pizza arrived at 20.45. Now keep in mind that this friend of mine scheduled the order in the early afternoon and he received confirmation that it would be delivered at 19.30 (Margherita has the option to choose another time). Keep also in mind that, given the temperature, the outside area is closed, therefore they need to serve only the internal eating area, consisting of roughly max 30 seats (not really a multitude). Of course I needed to write a second review. The reviews on Google are quite good but I would advise you to check the ones on ubereats and thuisbezorgd. Not really good. Read moreI am bitterly disappointed with this place and feel it is over exaggerated, perhaps because there are no other competitors in the district. I gave this place a third chance, although the pizza this time was much better than the previous two but still there are plenty other pizza places in Amsterdam which are much better. What is the problem to cut the pizza in pieces as most of the restaurants do? Forget about this, you’ll have to cut it yourself! Feels as if they don’t have a pizza knife. This time I collected pizza myself and discovered that the working staff is not pleasant at all. They are rude, tired and arrogant. I totally understand it is Covid time but what is the problem not allowing your clients to use a toilet seeing that it is on the other side of the corridor and the doors of it are demonstrated to be open? No! That’s all I heard from the working staff without any reasons given. Also, they will ask you to wear a face mask while inside which is good but completely forgot to wear a face mask themselves.
