Al Primo Piano — Restaurant in Edam-Volendam

We had dinner here with my family, and everything was absolutely delicious! I ordered the pasta Bolognese, while my family enjoyed steak and a lovely wine, and some more excellent looking food. Every dish was perfectly cooked, fresh, and full of natural flavors.

The presentation of the food was beautiful — you can see how much attention and care goes into every plate. The dishes were served on elegant tableware that made the meal feel even more special.

What surprised us was that the restaurant wasn’t very crowded — which is strange, because the service was outstanding. The staff was incredibly polite, attentive, and made us feel truly welcome. You can tell she genuinely cares about their guests.

My family and I went today far from all the touristy restaurants, and didn’t regret it a single bit. The food was amazing, authentic, and super homey much like the environment, I’m still thinking about the pasta (pomodoro and pistachio homemade pasta) that I got at lunch, while eating dinner, as it was so good, planning to go again (would come back to Amsterdam just to eat it again). We had the pistachio lasagna, the cinnamon and pistachio pasta, the pomodoro and basil pasta and the pomodoro pasta. At the end tiramisu and canolo. The cinnamon pasta was definetely something we never tried before and we were left really pleased and happy with it! Delicious! The rest was also really good!! The service was really polite and kind as well as the chef! Good and drinks came fast too. We also enjoyed the music and quiet atmosphere! A place to remember...
