De Ouwe Compagnie — Restaurant in Enschede

Favourite dining place of my mom, finally after some years she invited me and my brother to this lovely restaurant. I better understand her liking, great service into detail with precision to not so standard orders in regard to 3 persons 2 starters 1 shared 1 extra something. Kreist like we are NY hipsters... It was vittelo tonato, nice not great. Slices of veal with it seemed like tonato from a tube. Then main course, day deal. Schnitzel baked potatoes veggies. It was jammie and only 12 euro! A must go restaurant with great ambiance... Just don't take people from Curaçao or indo... The first name on the menu... VOC hupsate might be a little...

Great service and good food with a lot of local dishes for you to try. The bistro is in the city center which is great to walk and near a lot of bars. They have good vegetarian options as well as different dishes with meat and fish. As appetizers we ordered camembert with blackberry jam (amazing!!!), onion soup and shrimp. For main dish I ordered their famous spare ribs with garlic sauce and it was amazing, truly recommend!!! Amazing atmosphere and would for sure dine...

Not satisfying, I got the menu of the day but it was very little food. Do a proper day-menu or don't do it at all. My friend got the chicken sate, which was ok. The wine was ok but it was in a small glass. Considering that it was 4 euros, I think that's bad value. No sauce with the potatoes.

The side dishes were really good though and service was also good.
