Ate there last night.
The bald host 'saw me coming' and suggested he arrange the menu. I had my doubts, could be ripoff time, but OK I decided to trust him.
I told him I lived in India and do not want 'Dutch Indian-style' food. He said 'Sure!', it will be very authentic and hot!
First he brought a pakora and a samosa each. Pakoras are vegetables deep fried in a light spicy batter. This pakora was a solid lump of fried dough with no taste, like an olie bollen microwaved until it was hard as a rock. Good for a paperweight maybe.
The samosa was not nearly as good as the ones from the Chinese lady in the caravan outside the Bussum Gamma.
The 5 main courses were basically the same gravy with lumps of different meat in them - lamb, prawn, chicken. The Tandoori chicken was nice, but none of the food had any Indian taste. My girlfriend hates Indian food but she ate a lot because there was no coconut or Indian curry taste.
But for me.... I've had Indian food from Delhi to Mumbai to Goa, in Melbourne and London, and many around NL, but this is the worst and most expensive so far! 150 euro bill. I asked for some sort of hot sauce to give it some taste and that appeared as an extra 7.50 on the receipt even though the menu says 2.50 for extra sauce.
So watch out and check your bill if you're silly...

I also love that I can ask if the chef to just put something together for 2 and he makes something amazing. Helps if you dont know what to choose. They are very friendly and helpfull, while we had diner an older couple got helped and served alot, the chef went out of his way to help and deliver an amazing diner. Take out is also very...
Read moreMost authentic food outside of India. We’re expats from London (north and east!). We are take-away customers and we ask for off-menu items which are adjusted (spice-wise) to our taste. The dine-in menu is adjusted for the ‘local’ palette, my advice is ask for what you like. We’re regulars, and have been enjoying wonderfully cooked food on a weekly basis for 5-years. If something is missed from the order it is deducted next time. Is the food overpriced, no -...
