After a fun evening at Zaandvoort beach, my friends and I were looking for an Indian restaurant on the way back home and that's when we came across this beautiful restaurant at the center of Hoofddorp. The ambience was fantastic, spacious, good interiors and nice music in the background. We tried Golgappa(Pani Puri) and Delhi Chaat, Chaat was good, Pani of Golgappa was more sour and okayish. For the main course we had - Dal Makhani, Malai Kofta and Paneer Tikka Masala. All 3 were fine, we had better at other restaurants in NL. I felt that there lot of food coloring used in the gravy and also in the Daal. Paneer was bit chewy and did not feel fresh. We had requested for the gravies to be bit spicy and found that they had used more of red chilli powder alone. Spicy doesn't means teekha by Laal mirch... Spicy means good use of variety of spices... Just using red chilli powder alone will affect the taste and also leaves the throat sore.
For Dessert we had Brownie Shower which was very good and would have been better if served with Vanilla ice cream instead of Mango ice cream. For the first time we saw Meetha Pan in the menu of a restaurant and were very excited, but when it arrived on the table, the size and taste of it was not worth the money
Overall the food was Ok, Brownie was best, ambience good and staff were...

One of the best Indian Restaurants we’ve tried in Amsterdam during our summer vacation.
First of all About the Food: The food was really delicious and was served very well. We’ve had some starters like Onion Bhajji, Dahi Puri, Papad etc. Dahi Puri was really tasty. We really wished to order more however we wanted to keep our appetite for the main course. The main course was equally amazing and tasty. We tried different types of naan - Butter Tanduri Roti, Garlic Naan, Methi Partha etc. and some rice and sabjis. We had really nice food after a while when we tried different places in different countries recently.
About the Ambience: As you can see the restaurant has very appealing ambience and nicely decorated with Indian themed posters and other items.
About the Service: The service provided was great and always had prompt response with our orders. The restaurant serves only bottled water which is little bit unusual and unnecessary.
Overall I’d highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who would like to try the authentic Indian taste of dishes in Amsterdam’s...
Read moreI really like indian food, I have been to a lot of places where I live, in Hungary. Some are better some are worse. This authentic place belongs to the better ones. Even we came to this place twice during my trip to the Netherlands, because there are a lot of great foods here. They serve appetizer papadams with tipycal indian spicy sauces. The green one (if I am right, it was peppermint) was my favourite, but the other sauces was also good. First time we ordered 2 mild masalas, one mango chatney, mango lassi, cheesy naan bread. The whole plate was really delicious, the naan was exceptionally good, but I missed the hot spices that time. So the next time we ordered some spicier food (Madras if I am correct). Oh yes, that was what I was looking for. Pretty hot, even my tears came out, just how I like it. That time we ordered indian lemonade of some kind. Well.. that was quite interesting, but not really my favourite, but worth a try. However I would suggest the mango lassi, it goes well with everything. Thank you for the tasty food, will come if I am visiting the...
