Dirk Supermarkt Burgemeester van Stamplein — Local services in Haarlemmermeer

Dirk has always been one of my favorite shops due to its affordability and friendly staff. I particularly enjoy visiting the branch in the heart of Hoofddorp, where the service is usually excellent. However, my experience today was quite disappointing.

I was once again asked by the same cashier to open my bag — this being the third time she has done so. The cashier, who appears to have Southeast Asian features, was monitoring me even while I was standing in line and another customer was paying. When my turn came, she asked me to open my bag yet again and when I refused, her team leader asked me to leave my groceries, leave the shop and never come again.

I believe that this repeated request is rooted in judgment based on my appearance, specifically because I have dark skin. It's disheartening to feel singled out in this way, especially when I have been a regular customer and have always had positive interactions at this store.

While I still appreciate Dirk for its prices and most of its staff, this experience left me feeling unfairly treated and uncomfortable. I hope that Dirk takes steps to ensure that all customers are treated with respect, regardless of their background...

I had a very disappointing experience at this supermarket. I brought my plastic bottles for recycling and asked a staff member where to get the refund. She told me to go downstairs, which I did. After getting my coupon, I came back to do my shopping, but when I tried to use the coupon, it didn’t work.

I was told by the same staff member that there was a connection issue and the system wasn’t accepting the bottle refund vouchers. If she was already aware of the issue, why didn’t she warn me in the first place before I went through the whole process?

It seems the manager encourage the employees to check the bag of any non-dutch non- blond person, and to make his racist behavior less obvious, seems this responsibility has fallen on the any not native dutch person that works there. when i confronted the manager, the disgusting man, took absolutely no responsibility and lied about how everyones bag was being checked. Neve gonna shop there again.
