We ate here with 5 people and the owner is friendly but the service is bad: ordered a medium rare steak, got a medium steak so they made a new one: which meant waiting for me while the rest finished their food, no drink offered for waiting etc. They brought a new steak but there was a short black hair in it (i'm blond with long hair) I did not mention this to the owner because I did not want to be a Karen. But when I almost finished the steak I found a piece of glass or plastic in it. Owner was apologetic but nothing was done, no compensation or anything which is weird if you already made some mistakes. There should not be glass in food! We also asked for some tablewater and they brought a bottle we had to pay for, also fries and sauces are not included and you have to pay seperate for it. In total: nice owner but expensive and the service is awful. I understand it was Kingsday and busy but weird pieces in steaks...

Service: Amazing from the beginning through the end. We’ve been here a few times and every single time, the service is the same quality. Very detail-oriented, very hospitable, very kind and just amazing!! The guy who took our order and explained to us. His English is perfecttttttt and his instructions were all so clear!! The little girl’s service was also very good! She is super polite and careful! Always say thank you when we help clean the table when she took the plates out. The food: The food is so good! The steak is yummy! The zalm (salmon) melts in your mouth. Very flavorful and I have to say the quality of the steak is outstanding!! Super satisfied and will definitely come back!!
We also order a lot of drinks and other food but for now I’ll just add...

A quick google search highlighted the restaurant was a nice 1km stroll from my hotel (only found out when I got back, the owner regularly collects customers from the Holiday Inn Express!) For a tired and stranded traveller, the welcome from the owner and his team, was amazing - like walking into your local pub back home. Lovely cold beer and a great conversation with the owner about my home town, which he'd knew well, and our various travels around the world. Truly restored my faith in humanity! Would recommend without...
