I recently visited Nooristan Restaurant, and it was an absolutely delightful experience from start to finish. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, beautifully reflecting Afghan hospitality. The staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and made us feel right at home. The food was exceptional, full of rich flavors, aromatic spices, and perfect balance. Every dish tasted authentic and freshly prepared. The Qabuli Palaw were tender and juicy, the rice fragrant, and the sauces simply divine. You can truly taste the love and care in every bite. What stood out most was not just the food, but the genuine warmth of the people running the place. It’s rare to find such passion for both cuisine and hospitality in one spot. If you’re in the Netherlands and want to experience authentic Afghan cuisine in a cozy, welcoming setting, Nooristan Restaurant is a must-visit. I can’t wait to come back...
Read moreMy lady and I visited this place around 8pm on a weekday. Located on a quiet lane, Nooristan captures your attention immediately with its ambience, and the hostess’ warm hospitality and sweet smile. It was my first time in an Afghani restaurant, and as they played some old songs over the speakers, it took my back to my own roots back in India, and how music was then, in the 60s and 70s. We ordered Doogh, a salty yoghurt drink with mint, which gave a relaxing taste after an exhausting day. After which ordered a Mantoe as a starter, light to the stomach and just delicate flavours playing with your taste buds. As main we had the Lamb Kofta which is served with small portions of salad, rice and Naan. To complete the meal we closed on Firni for dessert. Not a trace of sugar, but Saffron and Rose water, making this evening's meal worth our...
Read moreI don't know about Afghani dishes, but I ordered indian food, i.e. Biryani, and it was nightmare, it was the worst biryani I ever had in Netherlands. Just simple fried rice kind of biryani with no spices at all and very little amount of meat and potion size also not good for around 21 euros. Tasteless and not recommended at all. Please avoid indian food here. Suggestion for restaurant owner, please remove indian food from your menu and focus on Afghani food which you might be good at looking other great reviews. Edit: my review was based on food and not the fact tap water is not available, that's not a big deal, it's okay if you are not providing that. Also, there are a lots of restaurant in NL which can provide you free tap water if you ask for it. If you are not providing it, don't speak up...
