WOODSTONE Pizza and Wine Hoofddorp — Restaurant in Haarlemmermeer

My husband daughter and I I went here hoping to have a nice meal before leaving back home. It was a dreadful experience. When we arrived we were told there was a wait. This was not an issue but we asked if we could get drinks and maybe something for my daughter because she was hungry. The said only bread was available. No bread was brought and had to go to the bar to find drinks. By this time everyone who had arrived after use had been served drinks. When our drinks arrived we were given 6 glass items without a table to set any of it on. My daughter is 1.5 years old and her apple juice was served in a glass bottle. When it was time to be seated we were brought to a table without a booster seat. When asked if we could have one the person said all 3 were being used. Had we known this prior to waiting 20 minutes we would have just left. Instead, we asked that when one became available to bring it. Our child was barely holding it together on my lap just hangry as hell. When our waitress arrived we were not ready but picked quickly and asked for avocado and bread to start. The bread came out but no avocado. We reminded her that the baby was hungry and could she please get it. I noticed the family using all 3 seats had left and a new family was seated. I had to get up to again ask for a baby seat. With my child finally seated I was able to occupy her better. The food came out and the avocado and she gobbled it up. The portions were small and the meal was fine. Our waitress walked past us many times without asking how we were or if we needed anything. When it was time to go she walked past 3 times while we were putting our coats on. We walked to the front to pay. I expressed myself to the person who gave us the bill. She said "Thank you for your feedback I'll let your waitress know." This was not a single person's fault. Instead this was just terrible service. It does not matter that the food was good. TERRIBLE INCONSIDERATE SERVICE from beginning to end ruined our dinner. Oh and to top it off we could not bring the apple juice out of the restaurant because...

Pizza and dessert was good. The service was an absolute no-go. We ordered pizza, pasta and a white wine first. We received a red wine. The waiter already opened the bottle when we realized that he brought a red wine, so we decided not to refuse but to keep it. The waiter opened the bottle right next to me and dripped the red wine on my shirt. He asked if everything was okay, but instead of becoming proactive and taking a towel and wiping the table and my shirt he decided not to do anything.So I washed my shirt and the table with my napkin. He also didn't ask afterwards if I would need a dry cleaning for my shirt. At the end of our dinner and after dessert, it was already 11PM, hence they asked us to pay. While I was on the restroom directly after paying, another waiter (not the one we paid at) came to my friends and told them that they already told us to leave (which was actually not the case). My friends told him they would wait at the table until I come out of the restroom and we would then leave immediately together. When I came back one minute later, my friends were already standing outside as the waiter told them they could not wait for me. I am disappointed. Twice. Last week we came to celebrate my son's birthday. I ordered Ceasar Salad and to my surprise I received a rather plain and small dish with very little taste. My husband and son chose pizza and they were happy with their choices. I wanted to give the place a second chance so we made a reservation this week to celebrate my husband's birthday. I ordered pasta bolognese and I was disappointed again. I almost never add salt to my plate but this dish had no taste so I had to add some. Unfortunately, it didn't help much. The pasta was fresh but tasted off. The bolognese sauce was quite mediocre. My husband picked pasta with shrimps and he was happy with how spicy the dish was but I could taste the same odd taste of pasta. Our son had pizza and he was pleased with it. That was a relief. This is my first review ever and the only reason I am doing it is because I believe in improvement. Please take this as constructive feedback and check the dishes yourselves regularly.
